11.2 ounce bottle, pours dark, murky, plum. super retentive darker tan head, spots of lace and scattered sheeting, ripe fruit and must in the nose. Soft on the tongue, loads of complex flavors inter mingle here. Fruits, figs, grapes, berries, vanilla, must, light smoke, leather, wood, earthy. A very nice treat, I'd like to pair this one with some old cheese and perhaps spiced meats. Well worth a try.

Brownish burnt caramel in color. Tastes like toast with vegemite in the best way possible. Good bready malty grain character like fresh baked crisp bread, plentiful caramelized flavor profile with some vegemite like yeast character here adding some umami salty somewhat salty profile. Otherwise I'm getting notes of buckwheat honey, dried fig, dried prune, dried apricot character. If beer is bread in a glass, this is toast in a glass.

330ml brown glass bottle.
L: Hazy, bronze colour (orange when backlit) with two fingers of foam.
S: Fruity and alcoholic.
T: Lots of stone fruit flavour. Good balance of sweet and bitter. Metallic aftertaste.
F: Medium/light body with foaming carbonation.
O: Underwhelming when cold but, after being left at room temperature for half an hour, is… still disappointing. Smells rich and fruity and the flavour is ok (no better) but the mouthfeel is poor (so much carbonation that it becomes thin and acidic).

A medium brown\amber body with fine sediment particles and an off white head. Aromas of dark fruit, grapes, bread and faint banana. Same tastes on the tongue, with a light, high carbonation mouthfeel. A very well crafted beer.

Not really sure how I've missed this classic (for reviewing purposes anyways) .... I'm pretty sure this comes in a series and this one is known as number six ... Will certainly be seeking out the others. This is top notch

Poured from 330 ml bottle. Pours mid ber gold with glorious floating shards of sedimentary yeast. Nutty, earthy and absolutely delicious. Crisp and dry finish. Everything you would ask for in a dubbel. Happy days.

Copper-chestnut colour with a strong haze. White foam, not very high and rather impermanent. It melts leaving a slight dross.
Yeasty, malty aroma with lots of spices, through which bread, honey and nutty notes come through.
In the taste, the accents that formed the background in the aroma are emphasised more. There is more breadiness, nutty notes, then there is maltiness, a little honey, yeast and spice notes. Bitterness on the finish, not too high with an herbal character.
Saturation high, quickly saturates. Medium fullness, the liquid has a smooth, palate-pleasing texture.

11.2 oz bottle enjoy by date 11/29/2026 into a Watu chalice.
L: SRM 12 Pours clouded medium dark caramel color with some dark thin sediment, a thin & fast receding off white head that goes to almost no edge foam, good amt of fine carbonation bubbles, no lacing. Sediment is in suspension.
S: Tannins, apple, plum, very light malts.
T: Gently fruity, plum, very light citrus zest, a hint of grapes, a touch of honey, affably sweet caramelized malts, distant brown bread notes, malts are gently toasted. Has a floral finish but not much aftertaste.
F: Brisk effervescent medium to med-light bodied feel with a broad middle and a very lightly chalky medium-fast length semi-smooth finish that is fairly drying.
O: I rolled the bottle so that all of the sediment is involved. A brisk , fruity, and slightly dry Double that will compliment many foods. Lightly effervescent and gently sweet. Becomes smoother with warming. It is outstanding in its style.

Definitely a beer that tastes better as it warms up. I live in the tropics and this beer can warm up quickly here. But even then it tastes great, with caramel notes coming through.

Amber color with a 2F head in an Orval chalice.
At first, lightly spicy aroma, followed by a good fruitiness.
Tangy, spicy MF, not overdone.
Fruity taste accompanied by a lightly spicy finish.
Excellent beer. A chalice is recommended. Start at about 49° and let the beer warm up for more flavor.

Pours an effervescent head that was gone when I turned back around. Has a sweet, malty nose.
Has a red amber color.
The flavor is malty sweet with an effervescent mouthfeel. Light finish with a light bready aftertaste.
