cloudy look, floating yeasty bits within an auburn-brown liquid. Minimal, low-lying slightly off-white foam cap. Belgian brews of this style usually have a well-retained mountainous foam cap with a lively center...this one is a bit more relaxed.
Sweet berries, dates, upfront in the aroma with zesty raisins, malty sweetness, green grasses, zesty yeast.
A clean, warm tinge, big on the smooth but still light, turning full going down. Wild, sweet and dry fruits upfront in the flavor with a thick and sweet malt riding in after, zesty and tangy yeast, ooh yeah..peppery. Good complexity and strange balance of flavor's. root beer sweetness as the liquid warms up and becomes more heady.
A true classic for the style.
