Poured my Rochefort 6 into my favorite tulip glass
A - Pours a darkish brown ruby color with a foamy tan two finger head and lots of carbonation. Heavy lacing build up around the glass as the beer goes down the hatch. Some yeast debris is present in my glass. Nothing a good swirl does not address.
S - Toffee, sweet malt and dried fruit and candy flavors. Hints of raisin, apples, dates, and a tart cherry like flavor are in play. This is a very complex beer that is very bubbly.
T - A front end fruity bread like flavor to the beer with a sweet candy and toffee like finish. The dark fruits are definitely present in addition to a moderate alcohol presence.
M - Light body but moderate to heavy carbonation. It is definitely worthwhile letting this beer warm up before drinking as the flavor profiles become much richer and more colorful.
D - Very nice beer that is strong but extremely drinkable. Session beer, probably not but this is a beer that I could drink 3-4 pretty easily. Some of the best beer in the world!
