Had this at L'autre-oeil in Gatineau, QC.
A: Poured a light-brown with reddish hues with half a finger of head into a chalice. The beer looks very lively with a healthy rush of bubbles rushing continuously to the top. The head retention is great.
S: Aromas of sweet grapes and a tad of dark fruits. Very pleasing.
T: Molasses and brown sugar are the dominating flavors. There is also an earthy character. The taste was good but it felt like something was missing. It just never took off.
M: Very smooth and kinda thick with appropriate low carbonation.
D: This is almost too easy to drink. The alcohol is perfectly hidden.
Overall, this was interesting although not as impressive as it's 8 and 10 siblings. It felt a bit unidimensional.
