Deep dark in colour, slightly hazy due to my inability to retain all of the yeast at the bottom of the bottle upon pouring. Thick lacey had that waffs the aroma up nicely.
Nose has a resemblance to anejo tequila, raisins, and baked desserts.
On the palate dark coca, roasted malt, tawny port (not to be confused with ruby!) and reduced calorie maple syrup. Body is a little on the thin side but it enhances the drinkability.
Finish is peaceful and gradual in flavor dissipation. I notice a caramelly and light cinnamony peppery sweetness that fades into a pleasant malt extract-like cloying sweetness. Nice.
