A: Foamy off-white that settles to thin veil over the top of the beer. Translucent copper with moderate amount of carbonation

S: Not much character, but a minor amount citrusy hop notes. Sweeter malt notes come through as tea, just a touch of caramel. A tad bit yeasty.

T: Flavor profile has a bit more character to it than does the nose. Virtually no hop bitterness. The finish is moderately dry with notes of tea, and just a touch of honey. Some yeast comes through as well.

M: Moderately carbonation. A bit dry on the finish.

D: A very drinkable lager, but falls a bit flat for me on character and overall quality compared to something like a St. Pauli Girl Dark or a Yuengling.

The Mustang is a solid sessionable lager. The beer poured a clear amber with white head initially but it dissipates quickly and leaves no lace. The scent carries bread. The taste is evenly balanced with biscuit being present through the drink. The mouthfeel is between light and medium body with subtle carbonation. Overall its good....solid.

Pours to a thin buff head and good lacing. Color is guess what. Aroma is weak caramel malt and grassy hops. Flavor is mild toasted biscuty grain and slight grassy hop. Much like Abita Amber. Good MF. Not bad.

A very average Amber. Didn't really impress me whatsoever, rating based off of my overall taste and experience drinking this beer

Mustang Route 66 American Lager is a tan colored beer with a slight haze to its body. The nose on this beer is one of biscuits and caramel but is actually rather tame and not very pronounced. The foam level looks good and it does leave some lacing as you drink.

This lager features a bread- accented flavor with some light spice and pale malt. I could detect a little bit of caramel and some underlying generic fruit, but the taste is more grainy and malty than anything and it leans toward the sweet side.

This beer seems okay enough to give it a try, but there is a certain artificial character that I cannot overlook. It isn’t as noticeable as with mass- produced adjunct lagers, but it is still there. The overall flavor is very basic, too. In summary, it’s an average lager overall that some may find okay but others may find too simple and direct.

Let me say that first I am not a big lager fan. But this wasn't too bad, I've certainly had worse.
Got this in a monthly beer club shipment, so had to drink it. Won't mind finishing off the other 2 bottles, but wouldn't go out searching for this one either. Nothing to really make it stand out or fail. If you get it for free or as part of a trade or something, go ahead and enjoy, but I wouldn't spend my last $7 or $8 on a 6-er of this one.
