All modesty aside, Mustang Golden Ale is one of the easiest-drinking beers you will ever taste. We recently tweaked the recipe to make it even better. Brewed with three types of barley, Cluster and German Hallertau hops. Cold-conditioned and carefully filtered for a clear, smooth, delicious beer. Need we say more?

Pours a clear, copper color. 3/4 inch head of an off-white color. Good retention and good lacing. Smells of pale malt, adjunct, and a hint of sweet malt. Fits the style of an American Blonde Ale. Mouth feel is sharp and crisp, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of strong pale malt, hint of adjunct, hint of honey, hint of sweet malt, and a hint of hops. Overall, good appearance, but weak aroma and body, and the adjunct flavors hurt.

Good Golden Ale but not great. Goes well with a good burger!

Bottle from MrBarleywine, thanks for the opportunity!
Medium golden color with a decent sized bubbly white head that dissipates quickly leaving a fair bit of stickies on the sides of the glass. Smells of sweet bread, crackers, and just hint too much caramel. Light fruitiness and a barely noticeable floral hop. The flavor is a bit sweet and follows what the nose said it would be. Nothing too objectionable, easy enough to drink but needs a bit more attenuation or less crystal malt, or more hops.

No freshness date to be found, so no telling how old this is. Pours to a nice white head that falls to a thin layer with some lacing. Hazy gold. Aroma is weak and grainy and smells old. Flavor is typical blonde ale, neutral yeast, pale malts and perfunctory bitterness with a hint of stale bread and cardboard. Mouthfeel is ok. Overall a blah beer that is probably better to have on tap.
Lesson learned: don't buy beer from just any old store. Shop where the BAs shop.

Poured from a 12 oz brown bottle into a Samuel Adams Perfect Pint glass. No freshness date. Received as part of a Beer-of-the -Month Club type of shipment courtesy of my sister.
A: Slightly hazy golden-orange hue with short 1/2-finger of tight bubbled white head with below-average retention but a few spots of lace remain behind.
S: Nice nutty, lightly toasty, caramel malty note, maybe a little strong for the style but enjoyable nonetheless. Light orange-lemon citrus and floral hops aromas play behind the pleasant malt character. No yeast or alcohol character noted.
T: A tasty beer, simple but a solid to above average blonde ale. The caramel malt character in the flavor is maybe a little too prominent for the style, but no harm no foul, and the flavors are well-melded with a nice noble hops spice and floral character meeting the slightly sweet but mostly malty backbone. No yeast esters of any significance were detectable, and overt alcohol presence was only what you need to make a beer.
M: This beer has a really good crisp finish with reasonably high carbonation helping that sensation along. Body is light as it should be.
O: Mustang Golden Ale was an excellent beer - maybe slightly more caramel character than most blondes but paired up with a soft spicy/floral hoppiness, it went down really easily. I would most definitely give this another try. From their website it appears they got nailed by a tornado and are contract brewing this for the time being while they rebuild. I hope they are successful -- this is a solid blonde ale with clean flavors and the easy drinkability you are looking for from this style.
