Newer batch yields higher results...

Picked up one as part of a mixed sixer, here goes:

Pours a semi-hazed bronze with a sliver of ivory colored head. Traces of lacing & not much head retention

S: Grassy & floral notes

T: Grassyness, wheat tartness & a touch of orange up front. Slight dryness, some grassyness & metallic notes a this warms, faint breadyness & white grape juice too, a bit of honey too. Finishes with a touch of sweet apple juice & grassyness

MF: Light bodied, low carbonation, thins out as it warms

Drinks okay, another not even average Stevens Point made for Oklahoma product, yawn

Pours to a bubbly white head that does not lace and a hazy yellow-gold color. Aroma is grainy, sharp wheat and a touch of floral hops. Flavor is light and almost macro-like with a tangy wheat and malt base and grassy hop in the finish. Mouthfeel is light and CO2 is where it should be. Overall a lackluster brew but not bad at all.

12 oz bottle. Cloudy gold color. White fizzy head disappears very quickly. Not much else going on.

Grainy aroma. Some faint citrus. Earthy hops.

Grainy malt character, slightly tart and juicy. Faint citrusy notes. Earthy bitterness, but balanced well.

Light body, good carbonation. Not a whole lot going on here. Refreshing. Alcohol hidden well.

A: The beer is hazy dark golden yellow in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a half finger high off white head that quickly died down, leaving a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface, a collar around the edge, and some lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of wheat are present in the nose along with notes of grain and some hints of sweetness.
T: The taste is similar to the smell, except that there are also some hints of sweetness, which seem to most resemble stone fruit.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and a little smooth on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer seems to be slightly heavier on the mouthfeel compared to other pale wheat ales, and I suspect this might have something to do with the fact that it used Oklahoma Red Wheat. I found it to be quite interesting.

Poured from the bottle into a pint glass. Orange with a hint of haze. Thin, bubbly head dissipates very fast. Man, it smells like an Oklahoma wheat field in the summer. It carries over to taste, with a hint of malt and lemon. Light on the tongue with pleasant carbonation. Solid and balanced beer. Would be even better in the warmer months.

a gift from Ragingbull.
pouring at cellar temp into a pint glass.
The beer pours a bright clear gold color, similar to a pilsener in color and even bleached white fizzy head. Foams up about 1 cm and fades to a sturdy surface layer that slowly evaporates to only a wispy layer.

Aroma is mild with some grain and a bit of malt sweetness, maybe a little spicy hop note mixed in but overall the aroma is barely noticeable unless I stick my nose all the way in the glass.

First sip reveals a light crisp body with fine fizzy carbonation. Easy drinker so far.
Flavor is mild as well, some grainy husky notes, a bit of malt sweetness, and some spicy hop on the finish, just as the nose advertised. All very mild in depth, but no major flaws. The label says they make session beers, which is fine, but I am kind of bored with this one after the first bottle, why have another for a session?

This beer enjoyed on tap at Texadelphia in Norman, OK. The beer pours a clear golden color with a Ginger of foamy head that quickly dissipated and left no lacing or retention. The aroma has hints of citrus and wheat malt. The taste starts with some wheat malt notes and then has note of citrus and finishes with some skunkiness. The mouthfeel is nice and smooth and finishes clean. Overall your standard mass produced light wheat beer. Wouldn't really have again.

First sampled from the tap at a beerfest in Moore, OK. The brewer's at the tent said this was made to go head to head with Boulevard wheat, a valid idea for the hot Oklahoma summers. The sample I had back then was right what the brewer's were shooting for.... better than Boulevard Wheat. The following is from the bottle.

It pours a golden straw color, very cloudy. The head was minimal and kept to a film with some bubbles around the edges.

The nose is strong of pale grains and warming wheat tones. Slight bitter earthy hop flavors are in there giving it a balancing tart quality.

The flavor is no heavyweight, but what it is.... is tasty and refreshing. Sweet honey and grass lingers until the long finish is taken over by a stern yeast and banana aftertaste.

The body is medium to light, with plenty of carbonation, very sharp. The finish is a bit dry, the finishing touches on excellent drinkability. However, I do remember this being a bit better fresh from the tap.

Thanks to Bobby for sharing this one.

A: The pour is a hazy light straw color with a big white head that has some pretty good retention.

S: There is a slight sour/tart note on the aroma along with some hints of butter. Surprisingly, however, there is a nice bit of banana and a slight spice.

T: A nice sweet malt and wheat flavor along with banana undertones which actually make this enjoyable. However, there still is that slight tart flavor that is present in many of these American wheats.

M: The body is medium with a soft, moderate level of carbonation.

D: Despite a few flaws, this one is actually pretty decent. A bit of an off nose, but a nice flavor.
