My first review:
A: a dark brownish red. Can hardly see through it when held up to a light
S: definitely some cherries, and it smells sweet (this is what I have to work on the most with reviews)
T: has the typical "Belgian" taste. The cherries from the nose are definitely present at the end and in the aftertaste. Sweet finish
M: more carbonated than I typically associate with a dubbel, but I would not consider myself an expert in the style
O: very interesting beer. I enjoyed it. Would recommend, but probably wouldn't order frequently

On-tap at Mugs Ale House, Brooklyn, NY
A: The beer is hazy brownish red in color. It poured with a beige collar around the edge of the glass and a patch in the center.
S: Faint aromas of dark fruits—cherries seem to stand out in particular—are present in the nose; these become stronger as the beer warms up.
T: The taste is similar to the smell, although it is a little more pronounced—there are flavors of cherries along with a good amount of underlying malty sweetness.
M: It feels medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This is a simple dubbel, but the cherries begin to grown on you. I like how they complemented the smell and taste, but it seemed like this beer could have had stronger aromas and flavors all around of both the cherries and dubbel.
Serving type: on-tap
