A: Dark brown with a light brown head.
S: Roasted malt and smoke. Some hops.
T: Roasted malt with some smoke or char. There's a very faint vanilla sweetness, but this beer is considerably less sweet than many porters. In the middle, there's a fruitiness that brings "sour" to mind, but I don't actually taste any sourness. It finishes with char and hop bitterness. This is a robust porter, but no one note overwhelms everything else.
M: About what I expect from a porter.
O: Flavorful, drinkable porter with a commendably modest abv.
Serving type: growler
