A zesty body and citrus aroma with a snappy finish. Drink to inspire you to an evening of passion! Circa 500BC, during the Celtic Golden Age, most of mainland. Europe was dominated by the spiritual tribes of Celtic origin.

Format: cool bottle. thick, dark brown 500mL with funky shape, classy label. Me likey.

Appearance: as soon as I popped the top off, a veritable fountain of froth burst out. In the second it took for me to stick my mouth over the top, it had run down my desk, paperwork and onto the unprotected hardwood floor which was great (renovations at the moment). somehow managed to get to the bed too. that'll teach me for trusting a cellared beer. Anyway... when finally I get to pour it: a slightly hazy golden colour with just over a finger of solid off-white head that slowly bubbles away to a half-finger. great retention with decent lacing. pretty impressive.

Aroma: a vibrant aroma of floral and herbal hops with some citrus, light malts and a touch of fruit. Nice indeed.

Taste: more floral and herbs, light quality grain, honey, fruits and that citrus. Very easy-drinking.

Aftertaste: very good, the bitterness lingers nicely.

Mouth feel: medium in body with a moderate carbonation. Decent.

Overall: well, well. The first beer I have had from Wales, and I have to say this is a better quality of English Pale Ale than most of the ones I have tried from England. Add that they are cheaper as well at $6 for a 500mL or $70 for a case of 12, and this is definitely one worth while.

A bottle brought back from road trip to Wales earlier this year. Pours a hazy golden colour with a white head. Aromas of citrus, lemon and fruits. Tastes of citrus and hoppiness, with a bitter aftertaste. Quite like a American IPA. Overall it better than expected, and as a result easily the best I've tasted from this brewery.

Very light orange pour with a light foamy head. Stamped all o Dr with mentions of organic. Who cares? It's beer. Should have spent more time focusing on the taste. Some kind of bitter aftertaste left me not wanting more. I feel like I have licked some form of machinery, and now all I seem to taste is oil/grease/fuel.

Poured into english pint.
Slightly hazy orange golden beer with decent off-white head, nice laces, good retention. Smell is citrusy, floral, yellow fruits, a bit resiny. Taste is expectedly bitter, that is ordinary for the brewery, grapefruit, yellow fruits, grassy hops. Completely nice and sunny brew.

A - Clear pale amber body with bubbly white head. Decent retention and lacing.

S - Strong apple cider aroma

T - More apple cider. Malts are subtle and weak.

M - Medium body with moderate carbonation. Sticky

O - I now understand why I got it on sale for .99c. This was very one dimensional and week. No bite or complexity of flavors or malts. Tastes like homebrew

Review according to BJCP2008 guidelines (style 6B). Bottle 500ml - batch n ?). AROMA: low malt aroma with a nice, intense floral and fruits (passion fruit) aroma. APPEARANCE: médium gold color. a bit hazy. white head with fair retention. TASTE: very slight malt flavour with the presence of esters and floral flavours. high bitterness for a golden/blond ale that lingers towards the end. balance towards hop bitterness. finishes dry. PALATE: medium-light body with high carbonation. OVERALL: a very bitter blond ale that resembles more an IPA.

Coming in a 500ml brown bottle, BB 16/06/2015, served mildly chilled in a short-stemmed pint-size goblet (Fuller's ESB branded glass). Notes: 46 IBUs, using US, NZ and UK hops.

A: bright pale golden in colour, coming with a low level of carbonation and a thin off-white foamy head.
S: on the nose it's mainly citric, grassy, coupled with salty notes like kelps(!!), a touch of apple and a light hint of sap, on top of the subtly aromatic pale malts. Well composed, not really assertive but the different elements.
T: the nice biscuity malty flavour comes on a par with tangy orangey-citrus and grassy hops, quickly engulfed by a tremendous wave of really dry and zesty hop bitterness which leads straight to a clean finish with lots of bitter elements and a touch of saltiness to linger.
M&O: on the entry the carbonation comes slightly lively but not in the sense of being harsh, accompanying the medium body that carries through a hop-focused and yet balanced flavour profile in an understated, quietly charming manner. All in all, a very decent product with fairly good drinkability, esp. for someone that cherishes bitterness as an integral part of a Golden Ale.

A- Pours a hazy, yeast filled golden color, such as the name of this Ale. There appears to be a heavy lacing that is very sticky when it clings to the side of my glass...some of the best I've seen in a beer! The head is eggshell colored and starts out fizzy but gently settles into a nice film over the brew. It's too hard to tell how the carbonation will be by looks due to the hazy nature. A very solid looking Golden Ale!

S- Well balanced blend of hop bitterness and malt sweetness. There is most definitely a citrus note about this beer, perhaps from German hops? Overall it's clean and refreshing in smell with nothing other than a traditional EPA aroma.

T- This is most definitely my kind of flavor! Very well balanced malt sweetness immediately upon tasting, and this is quickly taken over by bittering citrus toned hop cones towards the back of my palate. The only noticeable difference is in the potency of the flavors....this is slightly more subdued than an EPA, but still very British throughout! The finish is bitter and lingers for sometime after the swallow.

M- Medium to slightly light in body, this consumes the palate quite nicely. There is a subtle, yet zesty carbonation that really opens up the flavor profile for me in exploding fashion! I get a sense of the hop cones being freshly picked and immediately used in the brewing process....very leafy, very Earthy!

O- A highly drinkable Ale, that has all of the components that a proper tasty beer should have! Everything balances out well, and goes from sweet to bitter, causing me to grab for that next taste! The alcohol is mellow, yet slightly noticeable, which is nice to notice in something a little lower in volume. I recommend this rich, smooth brew....cheers to this Welsh brewery and I look forward to having this again!
