A malty body outlined by a stern spicy bitterness. An escape to the wild. Inspired by ancient Celts brewing beer from alchemy, forged with new bronze tools.

Best Before 12.12
As perhaps expected, beer is bronze/copper in colour. Quite clear. Finger-width of white head. No lacing. Head recedes to leave a small film that sticks around.
Smell contains some caramel/butterscotch malt, some earthy hops, and a pronounced toasted malt scent.
Taste is similar to smell. The toasted malt flavour is most prominent, fairly bready. Some mild hop bitterness is present as well, and lingers at the end. Caramel flavours are there, but less so than in the nose.
Fairly carbonated, light bodied ale. Goes down easily, but with flavour.
Overall, a pleasant but not exciting beer. Would be a good session beer, and nice on a hot day. Flavourful but not strong.

Skunked bottle. Darkish amber with small thin head, but lots of lacing. I’ll try to find another sample, as this would otherwise appear to be a good brew.

Poured into english pint.
Nice clear orange amber beer with solid off-white head, retention is well. Smell is rich, citrus, pine, toffee. hops, close to IPA. Taste is amazingly bitter and again close to IPA - resin, orange, zesty and herbal hops. The beer is much better than the biggest part of commercial british bitters. Very delightful!

Coming in a 500ml brown bottle, not bottle-conditioned; BB date unknown (left blank on the back label), served cool in a straight imperial pint glass. Note: 52 IBUs, using US, NZ and UK hops.
A: pours a bright and clear amber colour, coming with a fluffy but well-lasting off-white frothy head and abundant feed of carbonation.
S: burned sugar, raisins, orangey fruitiness and a touch a cream/butter, featuring quite sweet and syrupy malt sweetness upfront with a lightly salty tail.
T: like a premium bitter, the entry has lots of ripe dark plums and dried berries like raisins on a balance with rich flavours as of lightly toasted teas and biscuity malts, followed closely by an expanding wave of spicy, earthy and mildly tannic hop bitterness which concludes each sip with a decent level of bitterness but also a rounded mouthfeel, never too harsh on the part of hop tannins. The delicate edge of Cascade/Fuggles-like hop aroma seems to linger amidst the malt aroma and spicy bitterness.
M&O: the mouthfeel remains pretty decent, full of tiny carbonation to be enjoyed on the palate without going too fizzy, which goes well enough against a medium body and a moderate flavour profile. The sweet, burned sugary notes on the nose don’t seem to render much on the palate. All in all, a decent Best Bitter with easy drinkability.

Smart & nice labeled 500ml bottle brought from L´Espumossa (Barcelona). Wine glass. Orangish amber color, veiled appearance. White froth creates a close & lasting crown that leaves a thin layer on top & some lacing on sides. Crystal malt, tangerine, ripe fruit & slight herbal aromas. Toasted & fruity upfront then slight citric & earthy bitterness arises. Medium to full body. Moderate carbonation. Funny palate. Earthy & slight resinous touches mixed with soft astringency linger into a long bitter finish. Citric aftertaste. Good job !!

From the stubby bottle stamped 09-09-2013. Sampled on November 3, 2013 so I am two months beyond the max.
It pours a slightly hazy medium to light amber with a modest off-white head that settles back to a ring.
The aroma has a definite caramel and butterscotch quality to it with some earthy hops to balance it all out. It does have a sort of cellared feel to it too.
The body is medium and on the creamy side.
The taste is more sweet and malty than bitter although the mild bitterness does creep in on the backside.

Poured from 500mL bottle into a pint glass.
Appearance: deep orange hue with a light haze and a strong effervescence. Head is two fingers of pillowy ivory foam with a hint of an orange cast. I think it's quite attractive.
Smell: toasty malt with a little bit of a floral character. It doesn't blow me away, but it's not bad.
Taste: very malt-centric; toasty and a little bit biscuity. Actually, the biscuit kind of grows on the palate; not my favorite. Hop character is nil, but there is a bit of bitterness at the end. Not my favorite, but there is something here if you don't mind biscuity malt.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a big carbonation and a pretty nice creaminess, especially for the style. I rather like it.
Overall: this beer has some elements I like and some which aren't my favorite. Still, as an interesting example of the style, it is worth a try.

16.9oz bottle poured into a snifter. Best by 05/13.
A: Pours a hazy brownish ruby with a thin mostly white head. Quick to dissipate there is only spots of lacing.
S: Fairly malt forward, can tell age has taken a bit of a toll on this lighter beer. Perhaps a bit of oxidation with a cardboard like quality.
T: Flavor has held up alright, there is still some nice hop bitterness. Malts provide a roastiness, carmel and dark fruit character. Earthy tones to this.
M: Medium body with a good amount of carbonation. Sessionable beer here that you could drink all night.
Overall not a bad beer that is worth another try fresher. Was on a discount or else not sure the organic price tag would be worth it.
