Much thanks to hopdog for sharing this growler. I've wanted to try this one for a while and finally got my chance back in early March.
Appears pitch black with a dark tan head that slowly fades into a mild cap. Tons of scattered streaks and scattered lacing are left around the glass.
Smell is wonderful...bourbon soaked oak, coconut, vanilla, caramel, raisins, and roasted nuts.
Taste follows up the mentioned aromas with a complex blend of roast, sweetness, and oak. A sermi-sweet cocoa bitterness comes through and makes this beer an absolute winner and one of my favorites of 2008.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied, syrupy, rich, creamy, silk chocolate, and outright beautiful.
