Poured from a 330ml bottle into a chimay goblet, the first of my 3 triples night (other two being Chimay and St. Bernadus)
Pours a dark gold colour with probably the silkiest, creamiest head i've ever seen that slowly collapses in on itself.
Smells refreshing - lemon, light/pale fruits and malts. Like a summers day.
Taste is first a citrusy zing, before some pale malts and very slight hops take over giving a slight bitterness, and an alcohol warmth finishes it off. Everything is very subtle, I would say it's on the far other end of the boldness scale, opposite the US craft brew style boldness.
Over all a really, really good beer. Perfect on this summer saturday afternoon just as i've finished mowing the lawn.
