Brown bomber bottle with 2 different dates (born on and best before?) poured into a Chimay glass.
A: Pours a beautiful glowing apricot which yellows on the edge of the glass and a tight off-white head that recedes to a 5mm layer on top.
S: A nice dose of malts, mild fruit esters, backed by fresh-cut grassy hops. Alcohol permeates throughout in a complimentary way.
T/M: Wow! First impression is chewy. This has a nice body with a velvety texture that I just didn't expect from it's appearance. A firm dose of pepper and alcohol provide the introduction. Fruit esters present themselves as peach, hints of citrus and banana, and apricot. Back has a hint of brandy in it with the hops from the nose.
Fantastic representation. I'd like to buy the world a Westmalle and keep it company.
