Poured from a 11.2oz brown bottle.
Pours a cloudy orange color with a nice big head which dissipates into a layer of foam. Lacing is pretty foamy too. There is also a lot of sediment floating around which is pretty typical in Tripel's that I have had. Also a small amount of yeast sediment in the bottle which took some swirling to loosen up.
Aroma is very yeasty, with spices, banana, citrus. There was also an aroma similar to apple sauce as the head dissipated. The aroma seems to get spicier as it warms. There is also a slight smell of alcohol as well when it warms.
Taste is very good. The yeasts are apparent. There is also a lot of spiciness in this one which feels somewhat tingly on the tongue, also some malts and citrus flavors too. There is some bitterness on the finish from the hops. Mouthfeel is pretty smooth, with what I would call moderate carbonation, all in all, it feels nice in the mouth. This one is also quite drinkable.
Overall this is a fantastic Tripel, one of the best I have had yet. Definitely recommend this one.
