Chilled bottle poured into a Westmalle wide mouth chalice glass.
The Westmalle Tripel pours with a huge and bulging foam head that rises quickly and settles at 2 fingers for good amount of time.
The beer in the chalice is a bright golden color and even though it has a translucent/haze like finish it could almost be described as having a shiny quality.
The nose isn't over bearing but what it does let loose is a complex collection of citrus fruits and rinds.
Taste produces juicy malt sweetness and spice thanks to strong hops. The remaining tastes flow through like waves starting with the sweet malt and spicy hops, then on to citrus bite and a zinging alcohol kick.
Finish is a hefty amount of dried yeast and a smooth coating of honey that only adds to the complex palate already experienced.
One of the best brew available
