Intro: 11.2 oz. bottle served in a tulip stemmed glass
Appearance: Thick (almost excessive) dry head that stays throughout. Pours a golden opaque color. Carbonation is prevalent. Lacing is dry and abundant.
Smell: Bright citrus aroma. Alcohol is somewhat subdued.
Taste: Crisp, clean with no after taste. Kind of hoppy. Reminds me of an IPA.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with no oiliness. Can feel the carbonation and leaves the palette dry.
Overall: Good not great. A sipper, alcohol is hidden well with a mild complexity for which the Trappist style ales are known for.
Conclusion: Not one of my favorites but it is a must try. I tend to like the Trappist quads better, but this is a very respectable offering in its class
Serving type: bottle
