Direct from Belgium thanks to a friend of mine who resides both there and my hometown.
Poured into an oversize goblet. A frothy mozzarella cheesy looking head. the same color as the first snowfall sits atop a golden straw color. The head retention of this one is great!
Crisp apples, a touch sour, and belgian yeast shine through on the nose. Aromatic sugars, rock candy are also noted.
Taste is a bit tart slight sweetness is there and you have the crisp apple thing going on. Typical Belgian sweetness. Esters.
Mouthfeel is refreshingly smooth and light on the palate. Complex but not overwhelming.
Quite a delightful beer.
