Pours a cloudy golden-orange, with a quickly dissapating thin white head. Scent of wheat, light citrus, oak, and and almond. Taste very much follows the nose, but there are additional notes of fruit (apricot, cherry,) pepper, lemon, and a really nice yeast profile, its very clean and complex, and just a little creamy. It lingers on the tongue, very clean aftertaste. Despite the nice flavor profile, it isn't as sweet or rich as I would have expected and the alcohol content isn't hidden very well. The mouthfeel is very odd, bites the tongue initially with lots of fine carbonation then is gone right away with a lingering ghost of the flavor profile, which leads me to compare it to a very dry champagne in terms of mouthfeel. Another great Trappist brew.
