Appearance: Gorgeous pale golden color with light orange highlights. A full 3 fingers of egg shell white head that reduces down to awesome open lacing that clings all over my glass.
Smell: Citrus, cloves, alcoholic esters, and a bit of Belgian yeast combine for an awesome smell. I get more citrus in this tripel than in others, and less of a yeasty smell (than in other tripels and Belgians in general) which I consider a plus.
Taste: Some citrus and cloves up front, with esters toward the back end and slight bitterness. Great, balanced beer that can hold its own with any beer of the style.
Mouthfeel/Drinkability: A bit under medium bodied, this beer is smooth and creamy with perfect carbonation. The alcohol is hidden extremely well and is very drinkable. Overall, one of the best tripels out there.
