11.2oz cold bottle, with freshness date, into tulip

Appearance - Hazed over, murky tawny golden. Absolutely massive, foamy, impressive 3 finger head sticks around for the long haul as a foamy cap, modest lacing

Smell - Really complex and yeasty: licorice, bubblegum, apple cider, musty and spicy ripe fruits, a whiff of booze. Mystifying.

Feel/Taste - High carb helps the medium-heavy body seem light and airy, prickly at first but becomes creamy smooth, carries the huge flavor and scrubs the palate nicely. Like nose, taste is big and super complex: yeasty and a tad musty, sweet malt, ripe and sweet tropical fruits all day long, banana, apple, a bit vinous and spicy (clove), anise/licorice, alcohol flavor and astringency noted mid-palate that is fairly prevalent, finishes fairly dry despite the big body.

Overall - What a monster of a beer. The flavor is so complex and in-your-face, it's very hard to believe there wasn't fruit and spices added to this. I just finished that little bottle and I'm pretty sure I caught a buzz. I feel like the alcohol character becomes a bit much in this one, but it's still very enjoyable.

Gotta say this is definitely very good. I would not go as far as to call it world-class, but it definitely beats most brews out there. First off, it is overly sweet. If you like sugary beers, then this is definitely world-class. It is smooth and goes down real easy and I think the biggest appeal to this beer is that it can go with any meal.
