From notes. Poured into a tulip.
Appearance- Dark brown with a large creamy off white head. Great retention and lace.
Smell- Slightly tangy dark fruits, caramel, toffee, slight pepper and yeast.
Taste- Tangy ripe dark fruits, strong raison, caramel & toffee. Nice subtle brown sugar. Slightly spicy, herbal, and peppery toward the finish, due to the Belgian yeast presence.
Mouthfeel- Medium body and carbonation, with a great linger, ABVs are unnoticed.
Overall- Very good dubbel, definitely will be drinking this again. Nice complex flavor, and the ABVs are hide nicely. This is one of those beers that you just have to try at least once.
