Pours out a foggy and dirty orange-brown and sits a deep murky chocolate brown with a tremendous tan head blanketing the beer with a solid two inches of cover. Fades to a thick layer of skim, leaving some good lacings.
Aroma is jam-packed with dark, malty goodness. Tropical fruits dance around giving of hints of starfruit, mango and kiwi. Dusty floors spackle the sides of your nasal cavity with dry yeasty aromas that beg to be tamed. Lightly spicy and peppery, with just a few hints of dry, brown grass.
Flavor is overwhelmingly malty at first taste. Bold and fruity, completely laced with sweet and lucious Gala apples and Bosc pears. Kiwi juice flavor that could turn your teeth, and the eyes of your neighbors, completely green. Sugary caramel melts on the tongue with roasty and dark engjlish toffee swelling up on the inside. Alcohol warms from all sides and is accompanied by a nice peppery spiciness. Dry, doughy yeast presence sticks to the back of the mouth. Finish is mildly bittered with fresh greens and plenty more bright, fruit flavors.
Lively in the mouth and smooth behind the crisp carbonation. Let it wind down to reveal a lovely, silky mouth balanced with the alcoholic spiciness drying the tongue.
Hightly enjoyable, simply fantastic. Complex flavors keep your mouth interested, no way to put this down thinking you've got it completely figured out.

Dark brown appearance. Good head and lacing.
Aroma is of raisins, plums, fruitcake and syrup.
The taste is sweet with a complex mix of cherry cola, black grapes and treacle. There is a slight medicinal flavour here... in a good way. There's also a hint of spice in the finish.
The mouthfeel is superb. Very carbonated and palate cleansing making it easy to drink this beer.
Overall this is a very tasty and enjoyable Belgian beer that is rich and complex with a moderately high alcohol content. Very good drinking to be had here.
My mark out of a hundred would be 90.
