Okay. This place has me in a love/hate situation. I LOVE the fact that they have so many beers to choose from. I LOVE the beer signs, tap handles and other beer "eye candy" that is EVERYWHERE. (think back to your teenage years and how your bedroom looked).

Now, the food sucks. Honestly. Its horrible, so eat somewhere else and then come here. Or drink here and order the food to sober up. The only good thing is the pretzel. Then we have the actual prices on the beer. The tap prices are fair, but the bottles are STUPID! Why would I pay $20 for a bottle that I can get for $7.99 at any other liquor store in Louisville? (Read Hoptimus by NABC). Oh and lets not forget that this place is cash only. Really? For what reason?

Ok, so the place and entrance its pretty much non descriptive, the area its more residential than anything else, you open the door and your senses will be overwhelmed by the amount of stuff basically everywhere, taps handles, beer signs and many more things.
The beer in the front its good and nice, the draft list is pretty great, but the real gems are when you go to the back of the store, coolers everywhere and some beer you might have not seen ever before anywhere else, really boxes and boxes and more boxes of stuff piled up high, it cant be unseen, prices are high as they are not to go prices but to drink there.
Sergio was great willing to know and befriend people, we had a good talk and showed a particular room where he has aged versions of really hard to get beers, prices are quite higher for those beers, just to give you an idea Sergio was enjoying a westvleteren 12.
Only downside is that its chaotic and not too tidy, i did not try the food but with that type of beer who cares

Bottles of beer line the entirety of the whole establishment. Coolers, refrigerators, boxes and who knows where else they are hiding it. I've never seen so many beers in one place. They also have a nice tap selection. Last time I was there (about a year ago), they had 2008 Bigfoot and the current Devil Dancer on tap. I was certainly in beer geek heaven.

The food was decent, but nothing to write home about. The only real negative are the prices. Quite a bit overpriced, but that is what you get with that much selection. Go for the fun of it if you aren't on a budget!

This is quite possibly the best beer selection I have ever seen! You can spend hours looking through Sergio's selection and you would run out of money before you ran out of beers that you would like. Definitely recommend to anybody that comes through the area.

If you didn't know it was there - you'd never know it was there. No signage to speak of. Very strangely laid out joint - stuffed full of coolers - everywhere - all full of a pretty incredible variety of beers from all over the world, even different vintages. The owner is an introverted beer geek - he showed me his private stash, amazing stuff. Fantastic draft list. We didnt eat - though I was told they put together some great beer/food pairings. IMO this is a bit of a bucket list spot. I hope to visit it again. Very odd. Very different. Very good bottle shop and bar. It's cash only - and pricey - but a must do. Awesome beer experience.

The place looks like it is out of business from the outside as there is minimal (if any) signage and the windows are covered by flags of the world. The inside has one of the most bizarre layouts of the space which seems to have just been what was leftover after all of the coolers and walk-ins were put down. Kind of dark and not overly clean... Also, the place is cash only and has one of those high fee ATMs in it. You can basically go into any walk-in or look in any fridge/glass case for beers.

Beers were well poured at the correct temperature, in proper glassware, and with an appropriate amount of head. Draft beers tasted like the kegs were changed very frequently and the lines were well maintained.

Service was OK - the bartender was friendly enough and certainly knew the beers but there was a huge delay with the food as he forgot to have the kitchen prepare it (not the most organized system they had going).

Definitely one of the best selections I have seen anyplace - a large variety of craft beers from all over the US and the world. Lots of hard to find beers and multiple vintages of some beers as well. Very few things that I was looking for that I could not find...including a couple that had sold out very recently (that week). Huge amount of beer available as well.

The menu was large and very discombobulated - all different types of cuisines and the place did not inspire a lot of confidence in the culinary creations. We tried a little of the food, just appetizers. Nothing special there as everything seemed to be frozen items that were just heated up in the microwave/deep fryer.

I thought the prices at Sergio's were rather high - guessing that you are paying the premium for the great selection but the prices on fairly easy to find things were high as well (example, a single 330ml bottle of Chimay Blue was $9).
