Sergio's features over 1,400 bottles (yes 1,400), and over 40 taps. Sergio, the proprietor is a beer lover and a snob, in a good way. Be sure you talk to him when you visit, he's full of good beer stories that usually involves his travels to Belgium.

You will not find anything that resembles a Budweiser, Miller or Coors unless you go to the men's restroom, because frankly, that's where these beers belong anyway. Ask for a water, and Sergio may jokingly offer you a Coors.

The selection is quite amazing. If you're lost, just ask Sergio. Tell him what you like, and the price range and he'll lead you to one of the many refrigerators and pull out the winner. This place even stocks rarities like Beer Geek Weasel, and some hard to find Belgians, which are near and dear to Sergio's heart.

If you want a mind-numbingly huge choice of Craft Beers, Imports and rarities ,this is the place for you. Remember, no credit cards are accepted here, kids, though there is an ATM on site. (984 characters)

Amazing selection of beers. Service sucks when it gets busy, but otherwise it's a very legit beer destination. Food is pretty great as well. Try the ceviche. (157 characters)

Another stop on our tour of Louisville and another must try. I am sure I will mirror much of what others have said. This place is very easy to walk bye if you blink as you pass. Very unassuming from the front entrance. The initial entrance is a door no bigger then you would see on a small budget apartment. No sign out front to mark this place, almost like they are happy being a little hidden. Beer coolers run along behind the bar as you enter. I didn't count but I bet this place has something like twenty beer coolers. The building is four times deeper then it is wide and the adventure of beer runs the entire length of the building. I have been a lover of craft beer and have been to many establishments that claim a huge selection. Sergio's delivers on this with easily over a thousand beers available and countless ones that I had never seen before. If you are going with a retail perspective, you may find that the prices are a bit high. The idea here is that it is more of a bar focused on great beer and with that in mind the prices are not all that bad. They do offer any of their bottled beers for carry out. It is very cluttered and in need of a clearance event to free up some space. I would love to spend a day just going through all the miscellaneous boxes they have in the back of this place. I would imagine there is nearly a hundred of those. They do have a nice tap list as we sampled rare Belgium's as well as 2014 BCBS. They do offer a small menu as well, but none of us tried the food this night. I will definitely be back and next time we may spend a whole day. (1,606 characters)

The widest variety of beer I think I've ever seen. Filled to the brim with beer, taps and decorations the likes of which I've never seen before. Had a great time and found my new favorite beer, Delirium Noel. (208 characters)

Difficult to find unless you know it's there already. However, there are quite literally a thousand beers or more available at Sergio's. The un-initiated could easily find themselves overwhelmed. But Sergio is very helpful and very enthusiastic. (245 characters)

Ok, so the place and entrance its pretty much non descriptive, the area its more residential than anything else, you open the door and your senses will be overwhelmed by the amount of stuff basically everywhere, taps handles, beer signs and many more things.
The beer in the front its good and nice, the draft list is pretty great, but the real gems are when you go to the back of the store, coolers everywhere and some beer you might have not seen ever before anywhere else, really boxes and boxes and more boxes of stuff piled up high, it cant be unseen, prices are high as they are not to go prices but to drink there.
Sergio was great willing to know and befriend people, we had a good talk and showed a particular room where he has aged versions of really hard to get beers, prices are quite higher for those beers, just to give you an idea Sergio was enjoying a westvleteren 12.
Only downside is that its chaotic and not too tidy, i did not try the food but with that type of beer who cares (996 characters)

Bottles of beer line the entirety of the whole establishment. Coolers, refrigerators, boxes and who knows where else they are hiding it. I've never seen so many beers in one place. They also have a nice tap selection. Last time I was there (about a year ago), they had 2008 Bigfoot and the current Devil Dancer on tap. I was certainly in beer geek heaven.

The food was decent, but nothing to write home about. The only real negative are the prices. Quite a bit overpriced, but that is what you get with that much selection. Go for the fun of it if you aren't on a budget! (572 characters)
