Funky, eclectic little place, multiple rooms, like a labyrinth. Exceptional collection of international beers. Lots of regional too, as well as some cellared stuff. I found an Idaho beer here that has long been out of production back home. Kind of dark, but that adds to the mystery. way too much to absord at all once. Also be aware that they are cash only.

Combination beer store and restaurant. Maybe two dozen high quality beers on tap and over a thousand bottles to choose from countries all over the world. Really unique place that is a must stop for beer lovers. Hundreds of beer glasses for sale. Bar food is decent. Prices are a bit marked up, but that is reasonable considering the selection. Great place to splurge on trying a few beers that you haven’t tried or are unlikely to find without effort.

This place is an absolute must see. Without question a top beer bar in the country. There are literally several thousand different beers available here. Probably 3 or 4 dozen individual countries. An entire walk in cooler of belgians. I saw a JW lee harvest ale from 2001, along with a half dozen other years. There are definitely some old beers here that aren't better because of the age that is certainly to be expected in this labrynth. There is also 20 or so taps with an unbeatable selection, especially if you like european beers. Not the cheapest place you will find but without a doubt in my mind this will be one of the best beer selections you will ever behold. The owner wasn't in the country (I was told he has an encyclopedic knowledge of the beers in the place) but the bartender was able to direct me to some good selections, it's honestly just overwhelming. Go see it.

Stopped by on the way back from Indiana. Great selection, but everything was over priced. They were selling zombie dust for like $10 for a 12 oz bottle. I had just bought a 6 pack for 13.99 in Indiana.

Sergios is like Cheers. I live near Louisville and periodically make a pilgrimage to this Mecca of the craft world. It is eccentric, shabby chic, neon buzzing, darkly quiet. On a week night, you hear professors from U of L and health professionals from the local hospitals discussing their research. I sit alone with my beer and dinner and enjoy the conversations around me. There is no music or loud TV to distract your conversation or your thoughts. I love it. Sergio is often checking inventory and is happy to suggest a brew that you might never consider if you provide your parameters. The food is there only as a garnish for the beer but with the high ABV brews, you welcome it. You don't go here on a budget. You go to experience something you can't find many other places....the myriad brews and, for me, the atmosphere.

I have visited Sergios perhaps 5 times (I live in Maryland). Amazing is the only word for it! Love the atmosphere! Reminds me of the very best Diners, Drive-ins and Dives for beer! The coolers, arranged by country, seem to go on forever. It's a local neighborhood place with truly world class beer - like nowhere I have ever been! On my first visit, we drove by the place 3 times before going in - no sign out front. When we got inside - the basic answer was - "if you need a sign - you don't really love beer!"
Sergio has done a remarkable job in acquiring beers you cannot find from all over the world. Every corner has a cooler packed with the best beers of every country! We met Sergio one evening, while sitting in front of the French cooler. When asked about his favorite beer in that cooler, he shared the story of how he had actually bottled his favorite with the brewmaster in France! Just to interact with Sergio is to meet a man who has taken a passion for world class beer and made it a world class establishment for those who also love beer.
I am a lover of Mikkeller Stouts - and Sergio carries numerous varieties. This was the first establishment where I ever had a MIkkller Black - changed my life!!!
Usually 20 top notch beers on tap. I love a place that ensure the perfect glass ware for the beer you are served. He's got a wall of glasses of every beer that you drink.
The tap selection will range from the best of American Craft to the best of Europe. For example, currently he's got multiple choices from St Bernardus and Three Floyds!
The last time I had a meal, it was top notch - perfect beer food. Had a pretzel with cheese and Ceviche - spectacular with a great Saison!
If you are a beer lover and ever get to Louisville, you must visit Sergio's!

The bottle selection is world-class, no doubt. However, the numerous beer coolers were stocked with old beer. Buyer beware and look for dates, especially if you are looking for a fresh-hopped or recently bottled IPA. A friend and I found IPAs that anyone can buy at a decent Kroger that were 6 months old. He was looking for Christmas beers from various breweries and found more than one variety from previous years. Maybe that's a feature rather than a bug, but beware when browsing.
The tap beer selection was also pretty good, though weighted towards high abv beers on the recent night I visited. My friend ordered an Alpha King that did not taste fresh to him and he loves Three Floyd's brews. My porter was fine, but a similar one from a nearby bar was a buck cheaper. The bartender was not especially generous when filling my glass.
I didn't try the food, so I gave it N/A for me.
Finally, I liked the fact that there were customers and barkeepers sitting around the front chatting. And the tables in the back featured a diverse array of people drinking and talking. However, the bar was pretty cold on a winter night. I kept my heavy coat on throughout my stay.

Best place I have ever been for a beer. Don't go for food, carpet, or table service or especially fresh zombie dust in a bottle. Do go to trust the professional servers to take your tastebuds for a wonderful adventure around the world.

Sergio is one cool dude who turned his passion for great beers from all around the world into what seems more like a gathering of like minded beer lovers in someone's garage than a real business. You're sure to find a rare beer that you didn't expect to. Maybe even a whale. Just ask. It might not be on the shelf but things can magically appear if you inquire with the proper approach. This place is a beer geeks dream. Bring cash because they don't accept cards and either be knowledgeable enough to discuss high quality beer or be genuinely inquisitive about such. The folks there LOVE to educate newbies.

Place looks like it's closed down from the outside. Nice selection of beers. Prices are inflated by about 25%. 1 month old zombie dust for $10. 6 month old Alpha King. I understand why they have old bottles still on the shelf, because everything is overpriced. Service was nonexistent. I get more courtesy from strangers out on the street. Only accepts cash.

This place is a beer lovers dream come true. I know there is a lot of beer in the world now, but to see so many options all in one little dive joint is amazing. Sergio's is a must on all true beer lovers bucket list.

This place has one of the biggest beer selections you will ever see. It's random cooler after random cooler. Some stuff on tap. Cash only. Staff isn't super friendly and you definitely get the paradox of choice. Unless you have a very specific idea of what you're after, you waste a lot of time searching through a lot of beers you probably don't want. Worth a trip. Once and that's it.

Amazing selection of beers. Service sucks when it gets busy, but otherwise it's a very legit beer destination. Food is pretty great as well. Try the ceviche.

Another stop on our tour of Louisville and another must try. I am sure I will mirror much of what others have said. This place is very easy to walk bye if you blink as you pass. Very unassuming from the front entrance. The initial entrance is a door no bigger then you would see on a small budget apartment. No sign out front to mark this place, almost like they are happy being a little hidden. Beer coolers run along behind the bar as you enter. I didn't count but I bet this place has something like twenty beer coolers. The building is four times deeper then it is wide and the adventure of beer runs the entire length of the building. I have been a lover of craft beer and have been to many establishments that claim a huge selection. Sergio's delivers on this with easily over a thousand beers available and countless ones that I had never seen before. If you are going with a retail perspective, you may find that the prices are a bit high. The idea here is that it is more of a bar focused on great beer and with that in mind the prices are not all that bad. They do offer any of their bottled beers for carry out. It is very cluttered and in need of a clearance event to free up some space. I would love to spend a day just going through all the miscellaneous boxes they have in the back of this place. I would imagine there is nearly a hundred of those. They do have a nice tap list as we sampled rare Belgium's as well as 2014 BCBS. They do offer a small menu as well, but none of us tried the food this night. I will definitely be back and next time we may spend a whole day.

The widest variety of beer I think I've ever seen. Filled to the brim with beer, taps and decorations the likes of which I've never seen before. Had a great time and found my new favorite beer, Delirium Noel.

Difficult to find unless you know it's there already. However, there are quite literally a thousand beers or more available at Sergio's. The un-initiated could easily find themselves overwhelmed. But Sergio is very helpful and very enthusiastic.
