In the few years Aces&Ales has been in town, it has hands down become the go-to craft (draft) beer bar in the city.
The gents there always find a way to procure some oddball kegs, but don't take over-charge for said brew.
While the level of beer-orientated service can fluctuate from time-to-time, the owners Ryan&Keri are willing to chat you up or crack an odd bottle from their personal stash.
Grub has come a long way as well, and when I'm feel like testing my luck, I've actually done quite well when throwing in a $20 on their VideoPoker/BlackJack machines.
Certainly worth the trip from the strip!
Lots of word of mouth in town about this joint, had to check it out. Hear it's owned by Alice Cooper's bassist, or guitar player? Eh, no matter, away we go!
Building is a former 'VillagePub', a local gaming bar chain in town and I suppose you can still sort'v see that set-up going on, but they've done well in throwing up some cool brewerania up on the walls. But still those damn gaming machines...and the accompanying cigarettes...
Nice selection of a dozen or more tap handles, all sorts of goodies from what I could spy, as the tap menu was pretty outdated as I was told. DFH 90 and StoneRuination, StoneOakedArrogant, all are good steady suds, as well as TripelKarmeliet and SierraNev Bigfoot. Had some local hootinanny on as well from JosephJames Brewing Co. and Tenaya Creek, which is a nice touch.
Looked like they had DFH WWStout as well as the Abyss available in bottles, as well as the most recent Firestone Anniv. too! Didn't check into prices, but the taps were all in the $6-$9 range that I won't complain about- and in proper glassware which is appreciated.
Service was a little sketchy, as the gal was providing far more attention to the gaming patrons than others at the bar, but hey-she's gotta make a living. Didn't feel like being a jerk & quizzing her or anything, but I received proper pours and no attitude.
All in all, a much needed addition to a city that has a long way to go in regards to craft beer bar options. If you're in the area, give'r a go!

visited here for dinner and drinks before a flight out of Vegas.
The atmosphere is a little rougher than I imagined for a "beer bar", seems like more of a locals bar that happens to have a great tap list of beers. But then I did remember we're in Vegas. Smoky, video poker machines in the bar, tons of TV's showing sports. There is a side area with some tables, some high tops around the bar, and a side room with pool tables.
Taplist was very heavy on Stone beers, with other West Coast craft beers filling in the gaps. Some one-offs or speciality releases mixed in. Lots of IPA's. You order by tap #, and the menu clearly states name, style, ABV, ounces of pour, and prices. There was a video monitor with the same info too. Also some high priced vintage large bottles available.
Waitress was attentive and friendly, service was good. Food was better than expected, pretty tasty, and came out quick. Beers were a little pricey.
