I've never seen taps set up like this at a bar. Whoever is the bartender just has to figure out how to reach through everything, basically. It's kind of funny. If it were me, I'd be pissed off though. Big selection here. As well it should be, with so many taps, right? Not sure if they really keep up on stocking all those lines all the time though. Service is good enough, in a very Eastern European way. Stoic, to the point. Food is like standard homemade fare of the same region. A decent spot worth checking out. Seems a bit cluttered and cramped.

When you walk in and see the beer list at Bistro Gambrinus, you may get a little excited because it seems quite extensive in style and origin. However, if you appreciate beer, you should turn around and walk out of here. After going here several times it's quite obvious that they keep the taphandles from good to great beers, leaving them on the menu, but then just give you generic beers of the same style when you order it. For example, I ordered a Ballast Point Sculpin IPA, which is an extremely floral and unique tasting beer, I received a very plain, basic, obvious copper colored ale which may have just been a BP Pale Ale. Another example, I ordered a Stone Ruination and got a Stone IPA. I think the guys working here don't understand that American microbreweries make more than beer per brewery. Other than that glaring mistake, if you just want to walk in and have a "beer" then it's an ok place, and I've heard that the food is decent.

Have been to this spot a few times now and am pleasantly surprised upon each and every visit. The beer focus is certainly European in nature with a heavy dose of German and Belgian. Plenty of beers from Eastern Europe as well and I recall seeing choices from Poland, Czech Republic, Russian and even Lithuania (including a 14% behemoth). Food has never disappointed me and I’ve tried a variety of dishes including Bigos, Goulash, Perogis, Fried fish, and Beef Stroganoff. The only thing one might want to complain about is the service. On my last visit, there was only a bartender working and he had to take care of the entire restaurant in addition to the bar customers. That said, our glasses rarely stayed empty for any significant amount of time. Don’t be shy about flagging down a server if you need their help…otherwise they might walk right past.

Will be going here again and again.

Great beer selection 18 on tap and over 50 in the bottles. Okocim OK on tap - only place i know that has it as well as Krusovice Dark on tap as well. Lots of rare european beers in the bottle that are not readily available anywhere else (i.e. Baltika, Primator, Kalnapilis, Warka, Zywiec and many more. Awesome food menu including american classics as well as estern european favorites such as goulash, borscht, bigos, different sausages, crawfish, crab and more. Small and cozy place if you are in the city make sure you check it out
