Had this on tap at the red fox pub in royal oak. Served in a pint.

A: Is a clear amber-orange color, with a short off white head with small amounts of lacing.

S: Can smell hops, citrus peels, wheat and grains, brown sugars

T: Sweet, hops, wheat and bread, mellow flavors to begin with, ending with a slightly bitter finish

M: Fairly well balanced in terms of carbonation and flavor, smooth light body

O: It was alright, average beer for an average price, I guess I wouldn't mind having it again but it's not something I would seek out for.

A- reddish brown color with light coming through

S- slight hop smell with some citrus not very overpowering

T- not bad for a red, very carbonated and that gives it a bite towards the end, citrus and hops in the background

M- lots of carbonation and bubbling on my tounge

O- ok but nothing special a passable red that is drinkable

A: Wow, this thing is highly carbonated. I poured it into an english style pint glass and it almost over flowed with half the bottle. A four + finger head was formed with medium sized bubbles that reminded me of cokecola. No lacing and it took a few minutes before i could pour the rest of the bottle in the glass. The liquid is a brown leather/mahogany color with a moderate haze.

S: The nose has a moderate amount of spicy, english style hop aromas (floral, earthy). A bit of a fruity ester character, maybe from the yeast. Also an underlying minerally character that i cant quite pin point.

T: Malt forward with a complex array of flavors. I'm getting honey, cocoa, bread crust, toast and a sweet bread flavor. There is some of the mineral flavors coming through also (maybe the water?) and the fruity yeast esters. There is a low hop bitterness and flavor but it keeps the malt sweetness low and its a nice woody, earthy flavor that blends nicely.

M: Highly carbonated, the bubbles tickle my lip as i sip on it. Mild body. if the carbonation was lower this would be very session-able.

O: The malt profile this beer has is very interesting, and combined with the earthy woody hop flavor underneath i'm a fan. However.. the carbonation from this bottle was out of control and made it more filling then it needed to be.

Excellent appearance, beautiful brick red in color with inch thick head. Head retention is lower than average. Heavy malt flavors tasting only a slight bitterness on the tail end. This is my first in depth review and I drank it the night before not currantly just based on memory.

Pairing: best with hot wings, I advise against nachos, jalapeños overpower the beer yet the wings did not.
