Atmosphere: Dragonmead is on a service road off of I-696 in Warren. The building outside is fairly non-descript, with just a sign to indicate that it's a microbrewery. Inside, though, the place is decorated in a very medieval theme, with banners and even a suit of armor. The bar is inside on the right, with all their taps, and a large board with their offerings. The brewing equipment is in the back, behind the restrooms and behind a door. There was a large collection of brewing equipment, which is why I'm told that they can have so many different beers available. We were there on a Friday night, and the bar didn't seem too crowded, with a family gathering and the MCAB to occupy the place.
Quality/Selection: Dragonmead's claim to fame is their selection. They have approximately 40 taps at any given time, with a fairly wide selection of beers: English ales, German lagers, Belgian beers and even some American versions of beers (which I presume means more hopped). The quality of the beers ranged from bleh to a couple of quite solid beers (such as their Final Absolution tripels). There's probably something for just about everyone at Dragonmead.
Service: I thought the service at Dragonmead wasn't great, but not completely negligent either. We were served quickly and they did check in on us a few times (as well as a order sheet of their beers), but did seem to wander away a bit and weren't around to answer questions.
Food: There really isn't much in the way of food at Dragonmead, just basic bar snacks like nachos and pretzels. They have a book to get delivery from local businesses.
Dragonmead is certainly worth a trip if you're in the northern part of Detroit, since it's not far from Kuhnhenn. With roughly 40 beers, there's plenty of beers to try and enjoy. Quite good, and this is a place I'd hit if I came back to Detroit.

Finally made it to Dragonmead after wanting to come here for years. Huge beer selection, as well as house made mead and wines. I tried the Crown Jewel IPA, and another one whos name escapes me. Both were good, not great. They had a few meads on, my wife enjoyed them. Service was so-so, but we had a nice talk with one of the bottlers. Didn't try the food. A slight disappointment, but glad I finally got to give the place a try.

Been going to this place for a long time. Owners are great, staff on the other hand is okay. I've witnessed a few flips in staff, some for good others for bad.
On the upside, beer at this place is great! They do run out of a lot of the favorites and Fridays are nuts to butts.
Atmosphere is cool and laid back, on a weeknight when servers are free they're very willing to assist in helping Budweiser drinkers find the correct beer.
Food is bar junk, used to allow outside food in. Now its greasy sausages, waffle fries and cheese plates.
Never Had the mead here but my Wife and her friends love it. If you're in the area stop in and try a few brews

Located right off a main freeway makes it an easy destination north of Detroit. They usually have about 45 beers on draft. Solid representations of styles. Crown Jewels is a great British IPA, Final Absolution Trippel is a must-have.

Every time I've been the service is fast and friendly, the décor is awesome (except for the exterior, it's very easy to miss Dragonmead if you're not familiar with it. It blends into the offices/warehouses that surround it). Menu is meat, meat, and fries right up my alley. Beer, wine and mead selection is world class.
