Very helpful and friendly staff. Doesn't take long before they know your name and make you feel like a regular!

Stopped in the other day on a whim. The owner, Mark, I believe, was there and was very helpful with info and helped measure and mill the grain. Small place, but comparable to most other stores. Decent selection for the space and I get the feeling they would gladly order anything they don't stock upon request. Prices seem reasonable and the location is handy. I really have no preference between this place and Mr. Steves on Columbia Ave. Both are about the same distance from me and both are quality shops.

I stopped in for some grain to complete the grist on a batch I was planning...the first time it appears small, but the place is neatly arranged and organized well. I found the prices to be on par with other shops in the area. The owner was there and greeted me and they crushed the grain for me while I waited. They are easy to find and have a 'lounge' if you want to sit and read up on homebrew magazines. They are helpful and friendly so I will recommend them. They may not have the same selection as others but still sufficient for any batch you might need ingredients for. They have a good selection of yeast and hops and even stock stuff for kegging and have special spices on hand

Been here multiple times to buy equipment and ingredients and every time Mark has been helpful and knowledgeable. His prices are in line with all other stores in the area.
The thing I enjoy about this shop the most is the monthly beer/wine socials. Usually about 15 people show up and bring something homemade. It is a great place to talk about processes and learn some tricks. He also puts together classes for beginner brewers.
All in all Mark has done a good job putting his store together and I will continue to take all of my business there.

Transcribed from notes dated T, 10 November 2010.
The doorway sat at an angle to the parking lot with windows to the left upon enetering, fronted by a couple of armachairs. The right wall began with wine kits, followed by a rack for books and clear growlers, then a small cooler that held both Wyeast and White Labs yeasts as well as various strains of hops. Wire racks on wheels in the centerline held various pieces of equipment, including dried malt extract, canned malt extract, sanitizer, and glass and plastic carboys. On the left side, past the windows, were the larger beer kits, followed by the counter, all of the way aft.
I met owner Mark Garber on my visit and he was very gracious, allowing me to take pictures and generally wander around, taking it all in.

I made my first visit here for one of their Saturday brewing demonstrations and it piqued my interest enough to start brewing myself. I was just getting started so I had plenty of questions but they answered them all patiently and were very helpful. I've been back there multiple times since then and they've been extremely helpful each time.
They're website is also very useful as they have their entire inventory listed so you know ahead of time whether or not they have what you're looking for. They've also posted a number of beer recipes that they've made themselves which can be fun to try. We're giving the Mad Elf clone recipe a try now and when we went in for the ingredients he gave us a detailed description of the process he used to brew it.
I would definitely recommend this place to another first time home brewer.

Stopped in twice and talked to Mark on both occassions. Exactly what you would expect in a supply store. They have everything, their pricing is exactly what you see on the internet and you save on shipping, they offer the same products as the big internet people, etc.
Mark has helped me both times and has been great. He knows what he's talking about, he still brews so he's active in the hobby and has been able to adequately answer everything i've brought to him.
Whether you're thinking about picking up a kit, need an all grain recipe converted to extract or just need some sanitizer check out Mark and the guys at Home Brew. Very much worth the time.
