This is a good, solid malty ale. Reddish brown, it has a nice, medium pale tan head slowly shrinking, hint of lace.

Aroma is malty earthy fruit.

Taste is malty, lightly caramelly-toasty fruit faintly wine-like, with light earthy-woody bitterness. It is fairly well balanced, slightly light on the hop-bitterness. Feel is slightly full but a touch flat. It's a nice, enjoyable beer, not exciting or complex but well-made and reasonably characterful.

My batch says it was brewed in Ukiah, CA.

It pours brilliant amber to medium brown. Streams of bubbles scurry to the join a 1" tan cap with good retention.

It smells malty with some light toast and caramel with some light fruit aromas in the background.

T: The flavors start with rich malt, light toast, caramel, fruit and raisin. Hop bitterness is medium low. Fireman's Redhead Ale dries on the finish. The bitterness is not aggressive but provides balance to the hops and helps pull the beer together.

F: It is very creamy with a medium body and carbonation.

O: While nothing stands out, the beer is flavorful and easy to drink.

Poured from a brown 12 oz. bottle. Has a dark brown color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of toasted malts, bread. Taste is bready malts, light hops, smooth and easy drinking. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall a little light on the hops, but this is a pretty good beer.
