Made in Dublin, Ireland at St. James's Gate, Guinness™ Nitro IPA is brewed with Irish barley malt, a touch of roasted barley and five hop varieties — Admiral, Celeia, Topaz, Challenger and Cascade. The Challenger, Cascade and Topaz hops are dry-hopped to accentuate a sharp citrus aroma. The beer's blend of CO2 and Nitrogen helps to balance out the profusion of hop flavors, while also creating the signature surge and settle made famous by Guinness™ Draught. The IPA is brewed with the same unique Guinness yeast strain used to ferment all stouts at St. James's Gate.

Everyone else is wrong.

Too many people here have rated this beer as if is were an American IPA, which it is not. It is still proudly Irish, which means that you should not expect the same strong hoppy bite that you would expect from a great American IPA such as a Laguinitas. It is subtle and well-balanced. The nitrogen creates the same silky smooth head that we enjoy so much from their flagship beer. Furthermore, that classic Guinness taste is not lost. They managed to delicately and accurately match a new style beer to their signature taste.

This beer is not a mere desperate attempt to stay relevant in a craft beer boom but rather a long-awaited addition to an enduring, time-honored ale.

first time having a nitro IPA, did not expect it to be so dang good! had it during the summer... everything about this beer is perfect in my opinion, i love the smooth, creamy body and the refreshing citrusy, almost lemony flavor, you must try this if you like IPAs or just new experiences in general.

ITS NOT A US HOP BOMB...remember this is an example of an ENGLISH style IPA.
Very nice example of an IPA. Slight biscuit, earthy hop blended nicely by the addition of the nitro. Good ale and quite a refreshing alternative to all the millions of juicy, hazy, mango, citra, simcoe, bullshit hop bombs that are currently dominating the US craft beer industry.
We need more like this.

De Corte Ingles. En vaso de pinta de Ikea. Jugando a Avernum 6. Sorprendentemente agradable viendo el nivelito de su draught stout. Agradable lupulado clasico de corte herbal y terroso algo acaramelado. Color sucio

This offering from Guinness has been a bit misunderstood based on some of the reviews here. Its important to understand that the majority of the hops used in this beer are British. No pale or IPA brewed in the UK will taste like the American versions which use American hops giving them the familiar piney, citrusy, hop forward qualities. British hops tend to have a more earthy, floral quality. The nitro gives the beer a nice creamy mouth feel and the taste is familiar to what you would find in a cask IPA from an English pub. This is a nice change of pace but if you are looking for an American IPA like quality stay clear of this beer.
