Appearance: Pours a fairly thin-looking dark brown, not unexpected for the style. Head is light tan and a couple fingers thick. Lacing is decent.
Smell: I get a bit of roasted malts, dry bitterness, and a little...soapiness? Interesting, and frankly not appealing.
Taste: A bit of roasted malt flavor and bitter chocolate, but overall this is a very underwhelming flavor. Not a lot of character here. Watery, more so than Guinness Draught.
Mouthfeel/Drinkability: I feel like the mouthfeel is too thin, even for the style that it represents. Carbonation is okay, but overall not much to write home on. As with most dry stouts it is pretty drinkable, however.
Overall: Not Guinness' best effort. I much prefer Guinness Draught over this one.
