12 ounce bottle

Pours dark cola , minor tan head, thin collar and minor lace.

Just a very faint whiff of dark bread on the nose.

Notes of some dark bread, not much else.

Pretty lame and boring brew. Unfortunate that Guinness doesnt seem to care to put out more of an interesting product. Oh well, glad I only poached one of these from a friends assortment box

The beer exits the 330 mL bottle black with some brownish hues toward the edges and a modest amount of foam. The aroma is dark malt with hints of cocoa powder and charcoal. Husky grain is the first things that hits the palate followed by sweet dark malt. Malt dominates the experience and there isn't much of hop presence. The beer is drinkable, nothing wrong here, but I would have liked to see some more complexity.

330ml bottle into a pint glass.

Pours a very dark, nearly opaque, reddish brown with a brown one finger head that fades pretty quickly leaving thin wisps of lace.

Aroma is very metallic with some lightly toasted notes along with grass and some yeast. Everything is very faint with nothing standing out except the metal. Not good.

The metal carries over into the flavor although on a lighter note. There is some caramel and toast along with a little yeast. A tart mouthfeel that is a little out of place among the other flavors. Very light and watery with light bitterness.

Overall, a pretty terrible beer. Tastes nothing like traditional Guinness and is kind of a watered down mess. If you want to drink Guinness just get the regular stuff.
