Guinness out of a bottle doesn't look that great. Off-white head, opaque dark red. Pretty good retention though. The smell contains hints of chocolate and caramel, with some cereal grains thrown in. Tastes a little metallic, relatively bitter, and much less in-your-face malts than you would expect from a beer this dark. Also has a very light mouthfeel, slightly oily. Overall it's not really something I'd actively search out in the future.

Look: Light pour with big, puffy, thick (small bubbles), gorgeous, mocha head. Has nice, slow retention. Creamy, thick layer stays on top, leaves lots of random sticky lacing. Clear dark brown with red amber hue.
Smell: Fresh, lightly roasted, chocolate, grainy (cereal). Also some oatmeal, a bit dusty and mineral. Good malt base with herbal hops to complete it.
Taste: Stars with light roast (with some milk chocolate) sweetness that goes into light roast to coffee bitterness with hints of herbal hops. Despite being light, the bitterness is a bit exaggerated compared to overall taste, which is watered down compared to the smell. Some of the richness from malt is lost here. Also some light acidity with mineral character, which makes it fresher and easier to drink.
Mouthfeel: Light, relatively crisp carbonation for a stout, still light creamy feeling. Dry finish.
Overall: Smell promises more, but the taste is a bit watered down and doesn't deliver. It's ok, easy to drink with some roasted malt character and there are times, when you need exactly this.

I really love this beer. This version has quite low percentage of alcohol and it's very aromatic and easy to drink. Dark almost black color and moderate smell. Has a nice creamy head with good retention. Taste is a melange of coffee, toffee roast cereals, very complex and enjoyable. I would recommend it over Guinness Draft.
