I've had at least a thousand beers, but never this one. (I know, right?) Poured from a bottle into a glass at around 45 degrees Fahrenheit
Appearance: Black pour with a mahogany tent when put up to the light. A finger of khaki head
Smell: Sweet caramel malt, slight roasted malts. Not impressive in the slightest
Taste: Sweet caramel/toffee malt, very little roasted malt, and slight dark fruit and hop bitterness
Mouthfeel: Medium mouthfeel; Moderate bitterness
Overall: Yup, officially not a fan of English style beers, and in this case a stout. Too much caramel malt and hardly roasted at all. Also too bitter for the style. I was expecting a creamy mouthfeel atleast since that's what Guinness is known for, but was let down. Better than Guinness Draught, But that's not saying much at all. Glad I tried it once, but will not return again unless I'm at a bar and the only other beers are BMC.
