not my highest score, but a definite favorite and go-to with this one
A - very dense, dark brown with reddish hues in the light, tan head tends to come and go most of the time, but I usually dive straight into this rather than sit there and study the head
S - aromatic bitter chocolate and citrus flavors, a little yeast and dark beer tones
T - there's a reason they call this "dry stout". the flavor is very dry and biting, with hints of chocolate and rounded off coffee tones, slight hoppy citrus and a generous lactic bite that defines Guinness. not as heavy or strong as most stouts, but the trademark flavor makes up for it nicely
M - smooth, not too light or heavy, leaves a warm stickiness on your tongue all night
D - very drinkable if you're not looking for immense depth and challenge and just want a nice stout to kick back with. goes great with lots of foods. I actually enjoy it the most at pure room temperature. happy drinking!

Happy St. Patrick's Day 2014! Guinness is a must drink each year in March. Gotta love the dark bold flavor and smooth taste of this beer. Not something I can drink frequently, but one every once in awhile is perfect.
A: black color with 1-2 inch white head
S: basic stout stench
T: smooth drinkable flavor; great with fish and chips
M: thick and creamy
O: hard to berate this beer. It's a classic!

When Guinness was first brewed in Canada, there was a noticeable drop in quality. It used to be my go-to stout, but after they stopped brewing it in Ireland for sale in USA, I stopped drinking it. I found it for sale at my local grocery store and decided to buy it in honor of St. Patricks day and I am glad to give a thumbs up review. It is much closer to the Ireland brewed version and is quite tasty. It has a superb balance of malt and hops and is full flavored but not overwhelming. Kudos to Diageo for bringing back the traditional flavor instead of some ill conceived adaptation to "American" taste.

Can poured into a pint glass
I love the cascade of taupe bubbles as they rise to the top of of this dark brown classic stout. A beautiful, thick creamy taupe lid caps the beer. Lacings on the side curtain the beer glass.
Aroma of roasted malts, coffee and sweetness
Smooth, sweet roasted malt taste. No bitter aftertaste but the linger of the malt.
The lack of carbonation is the surprise of this stout and makes it quite drinkable, glass, after glass.
What's there not to like about a well poured glass of Guinness Stout? Oh my goodness, my Guinness!
