22oz bottle into tulip pint.

Pours a very dark, near black, brown with a creamy tan head that holds great retention.

The nose and taste are of roast malt and for the most part, with some slight hop bitterness in the nose. Light notes of nuttiness, caramel and a faint astringency as well.

The mouthfeel is medium bodied with subtle carbonation.

A decent beer, but not one I would pick up again.

In many cases I am not a big fan of beers that become too mainstreamized. Too much expansion normally hurts a beer, but this one is one of the better ones I have had. Not too expensive, good, consistent, and overall a worthy Beer. I would recommend to people you want a decent beer to get the job done.

A: Black with some brown and ruby hues when held up to the light. Foamy mocha colored head that dissipates slowly.

S: Caramel roasted malt, chocolate, dark fruits: prune or raisin, bitterness

T: follows the nose with caramel Roasted malt, sweet dark fruits, some chocolate notes, and a bitter aftertaste

M: Creamy, dry, medium bodied, moderate amount of carbonation

O: Good beer, I enjoyed the flavors and the bitterness was not as prominent as I thought. Its a classic beer that doesn't disappoint

A: Pours into the glass tarry black as expected with a couple inches of a bubbly, tan colored head.
S: Aroma of some malts, very light, maybe some caramel hints here and there but overall very light
T: Some malty coffee and caramel sweetness but very much on the lighter side. Not as in your face with the roasted flavorings found in many other stouts
M: Somewhat thick, oily, but very smooth, little carbonation
O: I think this one is very drinkable...good overall flavor...nothing that really stands out that makes you say wow, but compared to the draught I definitely prefer this one

A - Pitch black with a huge, chunky light brown head. Superb retention, while sticking to the glass tightly.

S - Lots of roasty, dark grains. A big nose of sweet toasted brown bread. Nutty and bitter.

T - A big roasted, and bitter profile. Roasted, dry malts and chewy dry grains. Fairly nutty and some yeast flavors bouncing about. A nice dry black coffee bite.

M - Chewy bodied beer with a bold mouth on it. Dry throughout with plenty of character.

O - A classic and a high standard for stouts.
