picked up a 4 pack today for 8.99 and shared one with my girlfriends dad(we each had an entire bottle) chilled in the fridge for a good 2 hours, poured into a Guinness pint glass
appearance - black, when held to the light could get a hint of brown but if i had to id still say it was a light black, 1 finger head, good lacing on the glass
smell - smelled of alcohol, malt, and a bit of chocolate, no other distinct smells
taste - i have now had 4 different types of guinness out of bottles and this one by far is the best to me, no longer had the watery flavor that i associated with guinness after having other stouts, started off with a nice malty, mildly chocolate and maybe a mild coffee if i had to stretch for it and a mildly boozy flavor, still a bit watery but a pleasant amount, very refreshing flavor
mouthfeel - thinner than i thought it would be based off the initial flavor but it matched the beer nicely, something that i could drink a few watching a game without feeling weighed down but still let me know i had a stout
drinkability - it went down smooth, tasted good, and since guinness was my first favorite beer this holds a place in my heart as reminiscent of simpler times but with a more developed flavor for a more developed palate, could easily drink all day and not feel as if i deprived myself of a great beer flavor

Guinness foreign extra stout
330 ml bottle served a bit too cold into a pint glass aboard the cruise liner while on vacation. Needless to say I was very pleasantly surprised that this was carried, although the ship ran out about halfway through the cruise.
Appearance - even a gentle pour yielded an impressive 3 fingers of tan frothy head. Retention time was near eternal and as always this Guinness poured a light eradicating black. A massive cylindrical prism forms as the head slowly recedes down the sides.
Smell - roasty coffee and mild yet simultaneously bold malts. A little more aromatic as it warms.
Taste - there's a moderate caramel sweetness up front before the roasty coffee flavor takes over transitioning to a trace of liquorice and maybe a touch of tobacco. No significant Booze is perceptible either.
Mouthfeel - Smooth and velvety, reasonably well carbonated but not a distraction. Slight warmth in the back of the throat. Much fuller than standard Guinness available in North America.
Overall - a delicious stout that is easily drinkable yet at the same time can truly give you warmth from the inside due to the higher ABV. An excellent beer that I hope to run across at home sometime soon.
