Pitch black in color with a big head of khaki foam. Retention and lacing are excellent, making this perhaps the best looking stout I've yet seen. Aroma of roasted malt, licorice, and molasses. Earthy, herbal hop note.

Bittersweet on the palate. Definitely more aggressively hopped than Draught or Extra, with a prominent bitterness that picks up toward the finish. Slightly smokey with a molasses flavor that picks up as the beer warms. Mouthfeel is rich and somewhat creamy - more heft than its Guinness siblings, though not as silky smooth as Draught.

With a much more bold flavor than Guinness Extra and the smoothness of Guinness Draught, this is the beer-lover's Guinness.

From 7/11, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong. BB 2012, but I'll take it :-)

Can't really add to so many reviews, but pours thick n black, head is two fingers easily. Clumpy/spotty lace. Aromas full and intense roasts to the fore, vanilla and coffee. Robust taste, roast driven. Medium weight overall and really - really - smooth. Overall beer presence in glass belies moderate ABV. End of beer experience? Roast City...

If only it were easier to get in Aus.
