This beer has left me absolutely puzzled. Let me try to explain. Okay, so I was not even planning on drinking this beer, but my friend did poor table math and bought an extra beer that he graciously handed to me. Free beer? Score! I grabbed my Droid and hopped on BA real quick and saw an overall positive review for this beer. That is what has me absolutely puzzled after my tasting.
I got the beer in a pint glass and there was no head at the time (no lacing either). The beer was a transparent faded gold, unattractive, like an American light beer (i.e. three shades away from being water). It should be noted that there was visible carbonation along the glass.
The smell is sour. The best way I could describe it is similar to sour fruit. There are also metallic hints and wheat. The taste is just as sour as it smells. There might be a slight hint of wheat, but the sour taste powers past everything. The beer is very light-bodied and moderately carbonated.
Overall, well color me perplexed, because I don’t get this beer. It is thoroughly unimpressive and lacking in uniqueness and complexity. I would, with 100% certainty, turn down the next free Harp I am offered.

Pours a clear light gold and leaves decent lacing. Head ain't bad, quick fade. Smell is ok. Some malt and grassy notes. A bit of earth and pepper. Taste is mild malt sweetness. Earth and grass hops. Clean finish with an light tang. Feel is thin and watery with mild and smooth carbonation. Overall a shadow of what is was twenty years or so ago. Sigh.
