look: 3.5 | smell: 2.5 | taste: 3 | feel: 3.5 | overall: 3.5

Appearance - Came in a Harp glass, with a finger of creamy, almost nitro looking head but it quickly dissipated. Laces fairly well and shows solid signs of carbonation. The beer itself is a somewhat darker gold color that is clear, but not crystal clear.

Smell - Some floral hops and I think some grains but that's it. It isn't a bad smell, but it's next to impossible to pick anything up, even after the beer has warmed up.

Taste - Distinctly average as not a whole lot is going on. Starts with a somewhat sweet malt/barley taste followed by a decent taste of milder hops and ends with an almost buttery/creamy finish. The whole experience is somewhat tame though, but at least it isn't watery.

Mouthfeel - Good body, that is for sure and is somewhat creamy. No aftertaste and the carbonation is decent. However is a little filmy, but that sensation quickly dissipates. Crisp, but strangely neither dry nor watery which is a little strange. Good, but there is room for improvement.

Drinkability - On one end, this beer goes down exceptionally smooth, on the other it is a little heavy on the gut, but I suppose that should be expected from an irish beer. It's moderately refreshing, but I wouldn't want one on a hot day.

Final Thoughts - One word describes this beer, and that is tame. This beer tastes like it was designed for new drinkers in mind who can't yet handle bitterness and want to feel like they are getting drunk by how much they feel in their gut. Not bad, a little bit above average but nothing special nor anything notable about this beer.

look: 3 | smell: 3 | taste: 3 | feel: 3 | overall: 3

Appearance – This one poured a light and clear yellow with just a tinge of orange. The head was full as well.

Smell – No skunk to start things off, which is always a big plus for this category. The nasty Gummi-Bear sweetness found in a lot of Pale Lager macros is absent as well, leaving the drinker with a harsh but clear nose of grain.

Taste – This is not bad. It’s more ricey than grainy, but there’s nothing offensive in here.

Mouthfeel – Light-bodied, of course, with a bit of decent carbonation. This one is quite refreshing.

Drinkability – I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I’m going to award a Pale Lager macro the title of “average.” Congratulations Guinness!

This was a decent lager. My pour had a good head on it that faded quickly and left little lace. The smell was quite grainy with a little bit of hop in there as well. The taste was simmilar to many macro lagers I've had...grain with a touch of malt flavor and little to no hop bitterness. Although my girlfriend ordered one and enjoyed a beer for the first time, I do not think I will be paying for another one of these myself..

Pours light yellow. Clear. Abundant foamy head that settles down nicely. The taste contains some corny notes similar to American Adjunct Lagers but better. There is a premium quality that sets it apart and makes it better than average.
A very good choice for a summer session beer over a bbq'd hamburger.
A refreshing and enjoyable beer.

On tap -- What a surprise. I actually enjoyed Harp. Nice near amber colour, decent lasting head, creamy mouthfeel, light sweetness, cling-y soft & faint buttery flavour and a fruity backbone. Extremely easy to drink and an excellent session beer.

Presentation: It was poured from a brown 12oz bottle into a pint glass.

Appearance: The body has great clarity and a bright yellow straw color. Its head is thick with big pillowy stiff peaks. It has great retention and leaves behind lots of cool lacing.

Smell: The aroma has pleasant aromatic hops and light malt.

Taste/Mouth feel: Its flavor has a good balance of sweet, light malts with mellow leafy and floral hops. Bitterness is mild and fades to a clean finish. Its texture is smooth and wet with average carbonation and a light to medium body that is very drinkable.

Notes: For me this was a very enjoyable beer with a beautiful look and pleasing aroma. The flavor is clean, refreshing and highly drinkable. Cheers!

Appearence: It has a nice dark but still golden colour.A Decent head that sticks around for a little while when poured correctly into the glass; along with some pretty good lacing.

S: Hops and a hint of fruity-ness, a decent overall smell.

Taste: Acceptable and somewhat bitter, with no off flavours, and not much sweetness to speak of.

Mouthfeel: Decent with a good amount of carbonation, smooth enough to drink despite the bitter.

Drinkability: Easy enough to drink one with a meal, enjoyable, but not the type of beer that you might want to drink many of at one time.
