Aaaahhh....Guinness blonde headed step child. Harp is a very taste beer for those who can't stomach the real goods...yeah that's right the real good....Guinness! Harp is a tasty alternative to going the distance. The color is golden/pale yellow with white foam. no aroma solid taste, and it is an easy session beer!

Appearance – This one poured a light and clear yellow with just a tinge of orange. The head was full as well.

Smell – No skunk to start things off, which is always a big plus for this category. The nasty Gummi-Bear sweetness found in a lot of Pale Lager macros is absent as well, leaving the drinker with a harsh but clear nose of grain.

Taste – This is not bad. It’s more ricey than grainy, but there’s nothing offensive in here.

Mouthfeel – Light-bodied, of course, with a bit of decent carbonation. This one is quite refreshing.

Drinkability – I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I’m going to award a Pale Lager macro the title of “average.” Congratulations Guinness!

This was a decent lager. My pour had a good head on it that faded quickly and left little lace. The smell was quite grainy with a little bit of hop in there as well. The taste was simmilar to many macro lagers I've had...grain with a touch of malt flavor and little to no hop bitterness. Although my girlfriend ordered one and enjoyed a beer for the first time, I do not think I will be paying for another one of these myself..

Pours light yellow. Clear. Abundant foamy head that settles down nicely. The taste contains some corny notes similar to American Adjunct Lagers but better. There is a premium quality that sets it apart and makes it better than average.
A very good choice for a summer session beer over a bbq'd hamburger.
A refreshing and enjoyable beer.

On tap -- What a surprise. I actually enjoyed Harp. Nice near amber colour, decent lasting head, creamy mouthfeel, light sweetness, cling-y soft & faint buttery flavour and a fruity backbone. Extremely easy to drink and an excellent session beer.

Presentation: It was poured from a brown 12oz bottle into a pint glass.

Appearance: The body has great clarity and a bright yellow straw color. Its head is thick with big pillowy stiff peaks. It has great retention and leaves behind lots of cool lacing.

Smell: The aroma has pleasant aromatic hops and light malt.

Taste/Mouth feel: Its flavor has a good balance of sweet, light malts with mellow leafy and floral hops. Bitterness is mild and fades to a clean finish. Its texture is smooth and wet with average carbonation and a light to medium body that is very drinkable.

Notes: For me this was a very enjoyable beer with a beautiful look and pleasing aroma. The flavor is clean, refreshing and highly drinkable. Cheers!

Appearence: It has a nice dark but still golden colour.A Decent head that sticks around for a little while when poured correctly into the glass; along with some pretty good lacing.

S: Hops and a hint of fruity-ness, a decent overall smell.

Taste: Acceptable and somewhat bitter, with no off flavours, and not much sweetness to speak of.

Mouthfeel: Decent with a good amount of carbonation, smooth enough to drink despite the bitter.

Drinkability: Easy enough to drink one with a meal, enjoyable, but not the type of beer that you might want to drink many of at one time.

Presentation: 12 oz brown bottle, no freshness date. On the back label it boasts about the spirit of the beer and the award winning flavour.

Appearance: Bight and shimmering golden hue, active carbonation sparkles to the top to form a rich cake like foam that slowly dissipates into a thin yet strong white lace.

Smell: Mix of quick yet inviting sweetness of malt and floral like hops, alcohol is a tad noticeable … clean to the nose.

Taste: Broad medium body for a lager, crisp and smooth at the same time with a grainy palate of a mouth feel. Bitterness of the hops is very straight forward with a tingling sensation and mildly astringent bite. Full mouth of grain, a little malted though more husk of grain than anything else reminiscent of fresh cut hay. Odd raw but refined at the same time with in the grainy flavours. Both husk and hop bitterness linger into a tightly packaged finish.

Notes: Not bad though not what I remember drinking back in the day. I’d gladly pay the extra buck or two a six pack to have the real stuff again.

Pours like a nice lager should, dark yellow with a decent head. taste is very malty. Definately, the malt is where it's at with this brew. Hops are there but not distinct to the maltiness. Overall, I thought this was a little disappointing, considering Guinness and all. I think this is a typical middle of the road Euro lager.
