This sits with a even and clear gold tint in the glass. Very little carbonation lasts at the top. The lacing, while present, is minimal.

It's got a small citrus kick to the typical lager flavor. I like it. It may be just a touch low on flavor content, but what's there is good. The aftertaste is crisp and leads one to another gulp.

Harp Premium lager 6pk bottles $7.99(OH)

12 oz brown bottle poured into a stemless white wine glass. No freshness date. "From the makers of Guinness".

Pours a nice pale gold color. Put a little air between the bottle and glass towards the end of your pour. A nice three finger, creamy bright white head that last a long time. It give way to amazing lacing.

It smells rather adjunct, if you ask me. The malts smell great, and a light hop is detected. However a sweet corny smell is dominate here.

The taste is better than the smell but not by much. Bready malts, followed by a nice light hop taste in the middle. Towards the end there is a corny taste, but it is well hidden behind the dryness of the hops. The adjunct is better hidden in the taste than the smell.

mouth feel is decent. Not watery like Guinness, more towards the medium body. The malts and hop dryness cling to your palate, hiding the corn taste.

Overall i was not expecting too much from this brew. And that's what i got. It the best adjunct brew i have had to date. I just did not expect a corny taste in a euro pale lager. Would i buy this again, probably not.

Sampled tonight on 4/5/14. From the Guinness Brewing Company in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada (Not from Ireland anymore it looks like) and has a green label instead of like the one in the picture. 12 ounce bottle chilled down to 36 degrees F in my beer cooler and poured into a pilsner flute glass.

Pours a yellow-gold in color with a half-finger foamy white head that settles to just a thin head on top. Some spotty lacing was seen with each sip but settles back down the sides of the glass. The aroma is of some grains, yeast with a hint of lemon. The taste is actually better than I expected with the grains, yeast coming together nicely with a hint of corn sweetness. Maybe a very light taste of citrus mixed in there also. Well balanced with perfect carbonation. Goes down easy with no bitter or harsh aftertaste. Really liked this one.

A: Pours a crystal clear medium yellow in color with light amounts of active visible carbonation rising slowly from the bottom of the glass and brassy + golden yellow highlights. The beer has a half finger tall foamy white head that reduces to a medium sized patch of very thin film and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Light to moderate amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Light to moderate aromas of vegetal, corn, and grainy malts.

T: Upfront there is a moderate flavor of corn and grainy malts with some lighter vegetal notes. Hints of grassy hops towards the finish. Light amounts of bitterness in the finish which lingers slightly.

M: Light bodied with slightly more than moderate amounts of carbonation. Lightly crisp.

O: Easy to drink and refreshing but not really anything special - leftover from St. Patrick's Day. Alcohol is well hidden but not one that I will be rushing out to get again.
