Saw this listed on BA during my vacation with the family so figured we'd try it for dinner. I'd say that the main draw here is the 18th century atmosphere. Situated in the basement of a stately old whaling era house on the edge of the heart of downtown Nantucket. It's dark and lighted to enhance the mood for the old pub that once was home to many a thirsty sailor. We had very good service from Will, decent food worth considering for a generally casual or family dining experience, and here's the beer list;
Cisco nitro porter
Brooklyn Amber Gold
Cisco Bailey's Ale
Dogfish 60 minute IPA
Sampler 4.5 oz each
Brooklyn Local #1
Rock Art Vermonter
Estrella Damm Inedit
Cisco Whale's Tale & Sankaty Lager, Stone Oak Arrogant Bastard, Rock Art Whitetail Ale, Ommegang 3 Philosophers, Victory Hop Devil, Peak Pale Ale & Lakefront New Grist
As the lone previous reviewer noted, there isn't a heck of a lot out here for the true brew lover other than the Cisco brewery itself. And from what I could see, the selection here has vastly improved since the initial reviewer's visit. I was pleased with the choices, especially considering what a surprising desert for beer this island is. My one reservation was that the nitro Cisco Porter I had was pretty definitely a bit tainted. Not terribly, but not on the spot at all, and they're so close to the brewery, with only a few beers on tap, that surprised me. And the bartender insisted the beer was fresh and fine. Maybe my taste buds were off that day, but other than that concern, I would say you have to include this place during your visit to ACK. The bar is small but pretty neat. I could see enjoying a rainy day here some afternoon. The atmosphere is nice but not fancy at all. Don't expect a Disney experience, just something a bit more adventurous than much of the rest that downtown Nantucket has to offer.

Some of the best chowder to be found on the island to compliment your delicious local Cisco draft. Staff is friendly and helpful. There are multiple levels to enjoy, a dark cozy bar on street level, or bright and roomy tables for meeting friends and having conversation without struggling to hear each other, upstairs. The lobster roll will satisfy.

Stopped in here after a wedding reception this summer. Let me start by saying that with the exception of Cisco brewing, there is not much happening craft beer wise on Nantucket. With that said, Brotherhood of Thieves was a welcome destination. The atmosphere is New England/Colonial, go to the basement bar with the cobblestone/brick walls. The beer selection was restricted to some American micros like Sam Adams and Blue Moon plus some others. However, given the environment, the selection was better than most places we looked. Service was friendly. Didn't try the food, but would have if we had been there at dinner time. Menu looked good.
