I live in the area, and have been here a few times. Small space, in a strip mall, easy to miss. Huge collection of craft beer, and knowledgeable staff. Didn't care for the "we don't do case prices" policy.

Great selection of craft and specialty beers. Not quite the same since John left, but still should be able to find some goodies here..

Once was a meeca. John the bearded beer guy moved on. Now it is dusty bottles along with the occasional new offering.

This is my go to place for great , great beers.

I walk up and down the aisles with amazed smile on my face looking at the amazing variety of beers on the shelf. Great selection , helpful staff, and it's where I pick up my copy of beer advocate. They have a section which has rarities with limited purchases. That's why I visit this store. Always something unique, cool and worth tasting on the shelf here.

If there was a drawback is that it is in a strip mall next to a Shaws Supermarket. What they need is a bar next door with 36 frequently rotated taps. That aside, a great place to hunt and find beers from all over.

This store has an incredible selection. Period. Unlike bigger liquor stores, the beer section (a third of the store) is not littered with mass produced beers. If you want a serious look at what the craft beer industry offers, visiting Granite Liquors is a must.

Love that the rare release section limits purchases to one or two so really anyone wanting to access limited and unusual beers is able to. John is extremely knowledgeable and super helpful if you can catch him.

Prices are consistent with the market. This is my go to beer store.

Fantastic beer guy, his recommendations have been stellar. Look for the beard for advice on beer. I stop by whenever I'm in town. Love the 1 per person shelf in the back. Impressive selection of sours and limited release beers. New England regional beers are well represented, as are imports.

This is probably my favorite liquor store in the Boston area. I live in southie and typically take a long lunch on Friday to stock up for the weekend. Fantastic beer selection. The beer manager knows his stuff and will give great recommendations. I usually hit up their limited release 'one per customer' shelf first as it usually has some hard to find beers.

I try and visit this store weekly. It is crunched into a plaza next to shaws. They have a great selection and very large compared to the size of the store. They get limited releases and usually limit purchases to 1 or 2 bottles each to share the love. The staff is not very helpful which might be disappointing for some. However, I have not met their beer manager who I hear is a great guy and very knowledgable. Prices are typically reasonable.

I visited Granite Liquors while on vacation for a wedding on the cape.

A - On first appearance, the place looks like a typical hole in the wall liquor store. I had thoughts on approaching the front door that I was at the wrong place based on the previous reviews. How could this place possibly have a good or decent beer selection? Wow, was I wrong! It was AMAZING!!!

Q - All of the beer was displayed clearly and appeared to be all up to date.

S - As an outsider in the community, I was still given exceptional service. I forget the name of the beer guy for the location, but not only did he give great recommendations, but he even threw in a free beer of a beer he suggested I try.

S - The selection was amazing! They had everything you could think of available through distribution for that area. Just a phenomenal selection of beer.

V - I felt all of the beers were priced appropriately. Nothing was outrageous, and in fact, some of the beers were cheaper than expected.

Overall, this is one, if not thee, best beer stores I have ever been to. The service was top shelf and the selection was world class. I cant recommend this store enough!!!

What a great place this is... it's impossible to give enough kudos to a seemingly ordinary liquor store thatr excels grealty in both service and selection. If you have a question in liquor, anything from absynthe to zambuca you'd find your answer here. A full aisle of microbrews. I specificaly asked for Ithica Flower Power to be stocked and now it's here, and they remember I'm the guy who requested it. A great place.

This has become my go-to store after a referral from a friend. Plenty of parking and very unassuming from the outside. Granite has a phenomenal selection of craft beers from all over the world. Be prepared to take your time and carefully browse shelf after shelf. You never know what you might find. They also have a great limited release shelf. Not sure what you're looking for? Just asked John, the Bearded Beer Guy and he'll point you in the right direction based on your tastes and interests. He has forgotten more about craft beers (and wines and liquors) then most of us will ever learn. This place is unrivaled If you are looking for craft beers on the south shore. I encourage you to search it out and make a visit

If you live on the South Shore of MA this should be your first stop to find a rare beer. From the outside it looks like any other strip mall liquor store. Once inside and you find the more than double aisle of craft beer you will understand that this isn't your grandfathers liquor store. A hugely diverse and almost overwhelming selection of craft beer that will make you dizzy your first time. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable and the prices are average for craft beer. They pretty much have it all.
