Pours a light reddish brown with a fizzy tan head that dissipates as quickly as the fizz of a soda. On the nose, strong toffee, honey, and caramel. On the palate, caramel, honey and toffee with a hint of booziness. Full bodied with light carbonation. Overall, this is a little too sweet for my tastes, and I'm not really a mead guy, but it's a warmer on this cold winters night!

Big thanks to JasonR1975 for the bottle!
Pours a reddish brown, clear with 1 finger of bubbly tan head, no lace. The nose is big and boozy, pit fruit, bread, caramel. The taste is similar and feature a big toasted malt grain bill, toffe, caramel, prunes, raisins, and a nice honey mead. Lots of hot alcohol still, medium heavy body with light carbonation. Really nice and very interesting.

Appearance: pours a light reddish brown. strong garnet hues. half a finger of a tannish head with moderate retention and the slightest lacing. crystal clear with a strong brightness.
Smell: strong toffee, light and floral honey. some caramels. dark fruits and some booze.
Taste: opens with some strong maltiness. toasted grains transitioning into caramels and toffee. floral honey and some booziness.
Mouthfeel: heavy and somewhat sticky. little to no bitterness. strong sweetness but not cloying. boozy and warming.
Overall: a very nice braggot. the base beer works well with the honey addition while even letting a nice amount of honey into the taste.

Bottle received in a recent trade with mikeyson4, thanks dude!
This one pours a clear medium amber, with a very small head, and no lacing.
Smells super wonderful, ripe honey, dark fruit, slightly tart grape, raisin, and some booze.
This has a really unique flavor to it that I honestly quite love. There's a great dark honey flavor, earthy and ripe, with some slight mustiness, grape, raisin, dark cherry flesh, with a slightly boozy finish. It's definitely not a strong boozy presence though, more warming than anything. Definitely some overripe prune as well. Maybe a little chocolate, too.
This is medium bodied, with a slightly syrupy mouthfeel, and a lower level of carbonation.
Another delicious high octane brew from Kuhnhenn.

The nose is the best part about this beer. It has so many great aromas, and smells more like a good quad than a braggot. The flavors are sweet caramel, toffee, raisin, and a little dark fruit. Meh to good beer. Hides the 12.8% well.

Received in a trade a long, long time ago. 2011 vintage.
A- Poured into my Duvel tulip a murky chestnut hue with visible carbonation, however, no actual head or such.
S - Aromas of caramel, toffee, sticky sweetness, honey, bit of alcohol.
T - Taste is very sweet, caramel sauce, super sweet malts. Tastes almost like one of those 'Bit O Honey' candies, or a honey hard candy the kind with the honey filling. Cloyingly sweet, sticky, alcohol hidden though.
M - Mouthfeel is very sticky and sweet, cloyingly so. Alcohol was hidden relatively well though due to age.
O - Overall this is a tough style. Typically VERY sweet and loads of honey notes it's hard to make this beer not taste syrupy or heavy. The age helped this, sure, but, it is what it is.

Look is caramel with a thin beige ring of foam. Smell of honey, light malt, apple. Taste of honey, fig, raisin, roast bread, caramel and brandy. Has a clean smooth mouth feel with a tiny bit of crispness.

2011 bottle.
A: Pours....almost black. Whoa. Very dark brown at least. Small, tiny little tan head despite an aggressive pour. No head retention, no lacing, nada. Practically looks still.
S: Huh. Kinda reminds me of a scotch ale. A little bit of smoke and some dark caramel. Stronger though. Menacing. Sticky caramel and molasses mostly.
T: Whoa. Very sweet. Loads and loads of honey and caramel up front. A little bit of that familiar scotch ale smoke/peat taste. Molasses even? Toasted sugars and caramel into the finish. Add some honey and that sweet taste lingers on forever.
M: Very heavy and syrupy. Almost no carbonation.
O: Wow. Super duper sweet, cannot be overstated. Only a few beers from the Bruery can compare. Lack of carbonation only adds to the crazy syrupy body and flavor. Thank god this is only 12 ounces. It's good but it's just hard to drink, a sipper for sure.

2014 vintage. Cola color with a few stray bubbles on top. No retention or lacing. Aroma of caramel and anise, spicy, with hints of peat. In the taste, licorice, tar, tobacco, peat, notes of dark dried fruit and honey. Left a bad taste in the mouth like smoking a bad cigar. Some syrupy booze in there, with an otherwise harsh mouthfeel. Not very drinkable, not very good...
