Thanx to walleye for the hookup on this one!
I am sampling a 12 oz bottle in a snifter at room temp. The beer pours a clear mahogany color with ruby tints when held to the lite.
A small fizzy off white head develops and fades away to nothing very quickly. Aroma is toffee, mixed berries and cherry with some spicy alcohol to boot. I also sniff some brown sugar and raisins.
First sip reveals a very fine carbonation that is so lite it is almost non-existent.
Average body with a bit of syrupy texture and very smooth.
Flavor is sweet toffee up front with some raisins and brown sugar moving in behind it and then some bitey and warming alcohol on the finish. A nice smooth beer that although it warms, the beer still goes down nicely.

Huge thanks to RocPorterFanatic for this brew.
A: Very dark brown in color, slightly hazy, and a quaint tan head on the top.
S: Intense malt, and a good amount of sweetness. Molasses, caramel, brown sugar and perhaps a hint of dark chocolate or licorice.
T: Sweet, with brown sugar, caramel, and dark fruits. There is a hint of bread, as well as an almost orange zest like flavor in the finish, you can't taste the alcohol as much as you can feel it. Very nice.
M: Medium heavy, carbonation is low, and there is a stickiness to it, that I think works in the finish. If anything it feels slightly lighter than I would have thought.
O: Overall a hell of a malt bomb to round out your day with. Delicious, smooth, and dangerous.
